Wow @etoupebirkin, that’s amazing! I know nothing about Dalmation other than from pics of vintage Hermes bags, and I think @880 also may have a beautiful Dalmation bag from Duret. I take that it’s a workhorse? Is it a tanning process that produces the texture?

ETA I love the shape!
@etoupebirkin , congrats on a gorgeous bag… @textilegirl , my dalmation inspiration came from @kipp ‘s stunning Kelly which is a beautiful dark charcoal :)

Hello!
Any word on the wear and tear of Arosa Calf after regular use? I'm about to pull the trigger on the large Libby and I prefer the smooth leather, I think, and how the cognac color looks compared to the Geneva calf. I'm just not sure how it wears over time. I'm trying to be better and not baby my bags so much anymore. I mean these things are meant to be used and not just looked at, right? :panic::lol:
TIA!

Medium Libby with its Mini Me.😄 Thanks to @fayden and @etoupebirkin for their helpful comments as I was researching. I ordered an insert but it's not here yet.

Oh, the fragrance of this natural Arosa leather! I remember reading about H Barenia people wanting to stick their heads in the bag, lol.

Agree with @fayden that the Libby line runs smaller than what we might think. The Medium will be a great everyday size. It's light as a feather, too, without the strap!View attachment 6215107
So beautiful, J! This color is a real stunner, love it so much in Arosa calf! 🤎
I just wish the charm wasn’t priced so steep. Ouch. I thought they came complementary with the bags, ahahaaaaa!!!
So adorable, though. Huge congrats! I'm drooling again.

Arose Calf is Barenia. So it will develop a patina. IMO, that is the charm of the leather.

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it. I do like a nice patina, but I'm just wondering how easy or hard Barenia is to maintain. Patina is one thing, but I don't want it to look dirty or crusty and yucky, haha!
I've only used my cognac Arosa 9 times, none of my bags are daily drivers, I wear a different bag nearly every day. So far it has some patina to the leather already and it has a lot of scratches. The scratches do eventually get buffed out only to be replaced with newer ones. If you want I can take photos for you.
