I miss"REY" but I don't regret giving her up. I'll purchase gain in 2013. Hopefully the issues are corrected by then.

I think I'm going to wait until the issues are resolved ( or until I get wind of a price increase ).
I was wanting an ebene tote buy am reconsidering because I use mono everyday and do I want to spend a lot of money for a bag I will only use occasionally or put it towards a bag I will use daily ( like a mon mono bag )?

I feel the same. I was wearing the bag everyday. All my bags get used well.
 
My replacement bag is here! I had to inspect it carefully. It's perfect. Let's just see how it goes in the future. I am not expecting it to be perfect after my awful experience, I will not baby it but will definitely have it stored in my dust bag if not in use (something I regularly don't do) and of course the "can-chip" will always be in the back of my head. Oh well... At least I can use it again! I missed it so much.

I have had my 2 for almost 3 yrs and no problems at all - they look brand new and I don't "baby" my bags so I hope your new one turns out the same. GL!!

THANK YOU--- Phew. Glad someone thinks I'm not crazy. It has been bothering me; boyfriend said "she's probably running around the store saying can you believe this girl returned a bag because of this tiny amount of chipping". I shrugged it off because I thought I had every right too.. But he also made me feel like I was over-reacting and shouldn't have returned it.

I have a small chip on the back side of my bag and wear starting to show on the front. They took pictures and sent them to someone in "quality." Three weeks later I called the store because I never heard back from anyone and they told me it was decided that at this time nothing could be done for me.......

I ordered my bag online because the Pittsburgh Store does not do Mon Mono. I don't know what to do!

If you ordered online and then went to a store that doesn't do mon mono, then they haven't seen the issues before
Did you speak to a manager ? If not go back and speak to a manager . If you did speak to a manager, tell them to send the actual bag back bc when quality control has seen the chipped bags,the result has been a refund,exchange or store credit.
DO NOT accept no for an answer !
Go back pages in this thread and read about the chipping issues and the results and not ONE person was told your response !
Tell them that this is a defect and the chipping issue started on bags ordered in March /April 2012. Tell them about TPF and how many people it happened to and they got a refund,or a replacement bag.

LV will sometimes tell a customer that nothing can be done on a defective bag and see if the customer accepts it or fights it.

Read this thread and see how many people had this issue and what the result was.

PS - if they won't send the bag off, go to another store or call the 1-800 number.
Don't tell them you were already no, just see what they say.

I would fight it. Explain that you know people who have had them replaced for this issue, and if you don't have the issue resolved you'll have your credit card company reverse the charges.

How long ago did you buy the bag?

I just saw the picture.... This looks very similar to what mine looked like. I got mine exchanged.
