Hi! First, I think if you want to wear it 24x7, durability is not an issue, so I would not worry about it from that perspective.Bumping this very old thread! Wondering if anyone has updates on the durability of wearing the Perlee Sweet Clover 24/7? Thank you!
And yes! The snagging drives me crazy as well. Thanks for the warning!Hi! First, I think if you want to wear it 24x7, durability is not an issue, so I would not worry about it from that perspective.
I don't sleep with anything on though, and that's just preference. That said, I do have other thoughts to share in case you are thinking of buying this bangle.
I wear mine often, it's super durable, but there are two annoying aspects for me.
First, I type a lot using my laptop. When I type, my bangles are always hitting the edge of my laptop or table. Hence, I always remove my bangles. This is not just with my Clover, but it is also with any other stiff bracelet such as other bangles or cuffs.
Second, when I wear long sleeve knits that have a more open weave such as loose linen or a big stitch weave such as cashmere, the closure on the bangle pulls/snags every now and then. For linen knits, it's a little pull. For cashmere knits, it's a little fuzz ball snag. This is especially true for oversized knits where the sleeves are a bit extra long as well.
This bugs me... big time... as I hate snags and fuzz balls on my knits. Hence, when I wear certain knit pieces, I do not wear this bangle. I wear other bracelets that are smoother.
So, using this example for you...
If you wear a lot of long sleeve knits and plan to wear this bangle 24x7, this snag/pull issue may or may not bother you. Just some other thoughts to share. Hope this helps.
I would be careful of putting your body weight on it, which probably would not happen except for certain yoga poses. I can’t see it deforming unless you have it in the wrong orientation and you exert a certain amount of force, or you accidentally bang it hard on a hard surface, which could happen if you lose grip on a reformer or another Pilates apparatus. And if you’re certain that would never happen to you, it should retain its shape.Thank you so much! Very helpful. I wear it with two Loves and it seems to be going well but I’ve only had it a week and have yet to wear it in the shower. It’s always that first scratch or gunk on it that drives you crazy. After you get by that, you’re home free!
My main concern is the closure mechanism. Opening the safety catch daily to take it on and off. I wonder if it will loosen over time. It’s super tight right now.
It’s also not as solid as a whole as my Love bracelets, but I’ve worn it doing Pilates all week and it hasn’t “bent” or changed shape. Wonder if that has happened to anyone.
Great point! I read someone else in this thread has taken theirs on and off daily for four years and I’m the bracelet was fine. I’m just so used to beating up my Loves which seem indestructible.I would be careful of putting your body weight on it, which probably would not happen except for certain yoga poses. What a great idea! And it re-purposes old sonicare brushes 👍I clean mine with dish soap and my sonic toothbrush. It come out looking new each time.
Love your stack. Please can you tell me what size is your loves and what size is the perlee sweet clover? Is your sweet in the RG? That is exactly how I want to wear the perlee sweet clover; with my pave WG small love and my YG regular love. Thank you so much.Thank you so much! Very helpful. Both Loves are 17 and the Perlee Sweet Clover is a medium. As many have said, the VCA medium is very close to a Cartier 17 but not exact. A tiny bit bigger but I like that because it moves a tad bit differently, and doesn’t look/feel like one giant block of gold when my arm is down. Hope this helps!Love your stack.
