Shoegal, I LOVE the ring. My birthstone is peridot too, and it definitely looks great with the yellow gold. And btw, I TOTALLY mix golds. My wedding ring & band are white gold, but I have a "right hand ring" that is gold. The diamond settings are in white gold (similar to your ring) and I don't have an issue AT ALL. It's not that bold of a statement. What stinks is when I wear a gold bracelet (I love my Juicy Couture bracelet & charms-- which are G-O-L-D) because that is very bold and sometimes I feel like it clashes with my wedding rings. Oh well, the price you pay! I figure...different hands, who cares ;)?

Very cool.. thanks vivi. And btw, Happy Birthday soon. I ca't wait to get it already. I am definitly going to mix the metals, b/c most of my jewlery is white gold.. and I plan to wear this ring every day. I am glad others mix them also.

I just received some peridot and diamond i white gold earrings and they look stunning..

I have the feeling that the peridot becomes more green with white gold and the yellow gold makes it more lime...

I to wear mostly white gold (my wedding rings are) but i also wear a two tone bracelet.. :)

They do have a different look depending on the color of the gold. My ring is acutally a two toned ring, as I look at it now. The band is yellow and the diamonds on the sides are set in white gold. I love the setting it reminds me of a tulip when you look at it from the side. It has that effect like it comes in and then out at the top where gem is set in. Then you can see the point of the gem at the bottom on the side. Very unique looking ring. I love it.

I have peridot in yellow gold as pendant, it is really pretty.
peridot with white gold would be suitable for younder ladies as it brings out a trendy look

Peridot is my birthstone. I have a 3 stone peridot ring set in 18k yellow gold. In fact, all of my peridot jewelry is set in yellow gold. I like the complimentary tone that that gold brings out in the peridot stone.

congrats on the new ring! when are we going to see the pictures?! all of my peridot are set in white gold, it too me FOREVER to find them. i simply can't wear yellow gold, my skin tone is way too far on the cool side.

Now that I have it in yellow gold, I totally love it with this gold, and don't think I'd want it in the white.

Plus, since there is some white gold in the side diamonds, I can get away with wearing my white gold with this piece.
