Pearls: studs, dangly, or both?

I don't think you can have too many pairs of pearl earrings. I have 6 pairs of cream/white studs alone: a pair of 2mm freshwater, 2 pairs of 6-7mm Akoyas, a pair of 8mm Akoyas from DH years ago when we were dating, a pair of large button freshwater pearls, and smaller 5-ish mm's that my mom gave me. I have other pearls studs in lavender and peach. For dangles I have a few pairs. I love having variety and pearls are timeless!

Yes I live on Oahu 😊 there is a lot of unique jewelry here more than the pearls actually!

I think all pearl studs are glued to the post... I guess it's just one of those things u have to get re done/glued. Pearls are sensitive and need great care..!
No houku ( sp?) has great pearls and I always loos forward to visiting their shops in Maui.
Last Summer I found a beautiful pair of Tahitian studs. Silvery turquoise. I treasure them because they remind me of our favorite vacation spot.

Yes, Na Hoku has some cute stuff! I personally don't own anything from there (yet). They have a lot of local designs (plumeria, turtles, other hawaiian themes) which I'm not interested because I live here..lol but I'm pretty positive if I lived elsewhere and came to visit I would def want something!

Wow that is a lot! The dangly pearls above my mom ordered are AAA 8.5-9mm akoya. I plan on asking my boyfriend for maybe 8-8.5 AAA akoya studs! When he asks me what I want of course 😛 I haven't opened my gift yet because it's in roughly 2 weeks but my mom has opened the package to double check the order and she said they're of beautiful quality. Can't wait to open them!

I'm not into any of that either.
Several years ago they brought in an amazing Tahitian (11-13 mm) multicolored necklace for me from their Boston store
These earrings are to go with that necklace.
Text time I plan to buy white south sea pearls.
They showed me several gorgeous strands.
Someday ;)

Very pretty! I love pearls and have several earrings, two Pearl strands and some bracelets.
For earrings I have studs and several dangles. Today I am wearing these...

Looking great with this beautiful earrings. i always like shorter-drop dangle earrings. But it is still looking very unique and classic.

I am like many - when it comes to pearls, there's no 'one-size-fits-all' approach, in respect of style or size - so I say the more the merrier!

I have 10mm South Sea studs, 6.5mm Tiffany studs with diamonds, 8mm Tahitian diamond drops. Each is subtly different and has it's own look, so suits different occasions/outfits.
