Paying in Cash in Boutiques during Pandemic

All U.S. Hermes boutiques that I know of have cash counting equipment. Usually, it's the foreigners who pay with stacks of cash -- I have seen this many times.

Are casino earnings still in cash in the U.S.? I remember hearing some time ago that Vegas stores are very uses to accepting cash.

@dariasouvorova you have two options with Schwab, buy a money order for the amount (assuming, say, the USPS takes cash these days) or get a friend to write you a check for the amount and then deposit the check using mobile deposit, if you have that set up. Incidentally, the no cash deposits policy is why I avoid Schwab myself.
Thanks for the advice! I usually make my partner deposit cash into his bank or America for me, but the branch next to us is being rehabbed! I like Schwab for the fact that they don’t charge any fees and refund all atm fees even abroad, great for getting those all cash discounts while traveling :)

I know someone who also used to pay only by cash at H BLOOR. But this was what I was told December 2019 and was told that it was a new policy as of 3 months prior so ‍I dunno
My SA provided some guidelines during COVID and no cash was one of those she specified. I’ve never paid in cash here in toronto so I’m not sure if it’s from a while back.

I can't imagine using cash consistently during a pandemic. Yuck. I hope to rarely use cash anywhere going forward (parts of the developing world being an exception - no connectivity means no electronic payments).

In addition to not wanting to physically touch cash, I can't imagine all the credit card points being lost here by using cash. Considering how much you can spend at H, a few small purchases is a short haul flight somewhere.
