Paying in cash for birkin?

Personally, I would feel uncomfortable carrying that much cash on me. With a credit card, you do get some significant protections against fraud or theft--as well as cash back and/or miles rewards options.

To each his or her own.

I recently went to Canada; and when I entered the country, they asked me whether I was carrying in excess of $10K USD. I think this due to preventing money laundering. I rarely carry in excess of $200, so this was not an issue for me.

I remember the first time I saw someone paying for a bag in cash at Hermes. I thought to myself, who would carry that amount of cash on them? But, the SA slid out the money counter and proceeded to load it in all the same, as though it was quite normal.

I'm not aware of any cash limit. I mean, let's get real. Some loaded folks from certain countries don't need miles as much as, say, protection from made-up or real corruption charges from their own government hahaha

Yes, and there are definitely career paths that operate on an all-cash basis ;) I've seen people buy CARS with cash. And not cheap cars!

When I was at FSH, I asked for a B or and a K and asked afterwards if I could pay with cash, she then asked me where I was from and told me it was no problem to pay in cash. I don't really like carrying out so much cash with me, but our cards have these limits you can spend on your card per day for security reasons.
