Paying Full Price for Coach 1941 collection?

I personally won't pay full price for the 1941 collection, unless it is an item that stops me dead in my tracks and can't get it out of my mind. I have yet to see something that does that. I did get something in the sale, but had it not been on sale, I wouldn't have purchased it.

I don't pay full price for any fashion item, handbags included! Coach is no exception, especially how easy it is to find something you like on sale.

After stocking Coach for over a year, I noticed there are only very few 1941 pieces are never going to be on sale: Tea Rose Rogue (the chalk and black color)
all the seasonal color / design are definitely going to be on sale. They are having harder time to sell it with full price because people started noticing those items eventually went to sale, but they will be gone very fast when sale starts though.
If you really like a piece and you don't watch coach sale event closely, I advice to buy it anyway.

I have bought most of my Coach stuff at full price. And most of the stuff I have bought on sale I ended up returning (or not using as often). So if you like it, get it. If you don't like it enough at the current price, wait around and see if it is still there and take your chances.

Only bought the tea rose saddle 23 in black, and it's the only bag I have from the 1941 collection. Happens not to be on sale yet, but even if it does I'm not going to be too bothered. Was debating a Rogue 36, but the only ones that ever made it to the semi-annual are of the black copper hardware. However, my wallet is definitely very thankful for this breather! Going to sit tight awaiting that fall collection

I had bought one 1941 item at FP. But then it was added to the sale and I just called yesterday for a price adjustment. So I guess I am back to never having bought any handbag, including 1941, at FP, ever.

That does not mean I never would, though. Obviously I did once! I would if it was an item that I absolutely wanted, and I was too impatient to wait for a sale or to find it secondhand, or concerned it would sell out (and I would not be able to find it later).

I'm kinda annoyed that I bought that green/floral trifold wallet at full price and now it's at 50% off, but at the same time, I really did LOVE it. In future, I'm definitely going to think twice about purchasing "seasonal" items.

A staple like the plain black Rogue 36 though, I still don't regret. Sure I could have a 50% off Saddle one now, but I don't like it anywhere near as much.

I’ve paid full price for a few items but now that Coach has sales more often I usually wait. However my girl Kristin keeps me in the loop for the limited edition bags. I just scored a beautiful Rogue 25 that’s coming out in a couple of days. It’s in the new sunflower color with snake handles with whip stitch. Yellow is my favorite color so I knew I had to have it especially when I found out they only made 29 of them! The super limited edition bags that I love I’ll defibitely pay full price for. But those are few and far between. But I love the quality of the 1941 collection. I rarely buy anything from the regular collection anymore.

Style 29437. It's up for sale on the UK Coach website right now, so I feel like there are likely more than 29 of them in existence. This one is a full size though, not 25.

I’ve bought three Coach items full price, all 1941; Chalk Rogue, Black Dinky for customization at Coach House (my daughter’s bag) and the small Cherries trifold wallet.

I carried the Chalk Rogue almost all summer last year, the Dinky was a fun experience and memory with my daughter (the teen version of visiting American Girl in NY) and the Cherries wallet is adorable and monogrammed in a special way. I don’t regret buying any of them.

Having said that, I don’t see myself paying full-price again. I was lucky enough to get the Black/Oxblood Tea Rose Rogue 25 and Chalk Rea Rose Dinky at 40% off with F&F just before they excluded Tea Rose items, and those are part of the core 1941 line. My bag collection is about complete, and I will probably just add a bag every year or so from this point on. I fell in love with the Washed Red Tea Rose Rogue 25 and bought that a couple of weeks ago, but only because it was 40% off.

I really only like Coach 1941 items, and I find most new items either duplicative to what I already have or way too branded or embellished. My recent purchases have been full-price LV or small independent firms. I don’t need a sale price to buy if I know it won’t be on sale a few weeks later. Coach has trained me not to pay full price.

Only my first gen 1941 tea rose rogue with snake accent was paid at full price. It's never gone on sale and I still love that bag. I considered some other bags like Cooper or rogue 25 but I just don't love them enough to justify the price.

I think the 29 bags was just for the US stores. I have no idea about other countries for numbers. It just shipped so I’ll post a picture when I get it!
