djmm-Thanks so much for your insightful response. I know the Rolex is useful for running around and the Cartier is pretty for evening wear. I just looked at the current price of the Cartier and it is $6900 so I am going to reconsider keeping it. I would like a metal band so that I can wash dishes (lol) and do other chores without worrying about ruining the band or the insides. I tried on the Reverso and liked that one too. Do you need to wear the diamonds just for dressy occasions? It is a pretty watch!
I'll have to check the Dumont too...does that come with a metal band? Thanks so much and I'll read your reviews!

Washing dishes while wearing your precious watch? Argh! It's like using your Birkin as a grocery bag :smash:
If you want a watch that you can use while washing dishes, I think you need a dive watch, haha..
The Dumont doesn't come in bracelet, but if you haven't tried that one yet, at least try it on your wrist once. It's a very special Cartier. I'm pretty sure larger Cartier boutiques have a few of them on display.

I do use it my Birkin as a grocery bag...just kidding.:D
I think a diving watch would be just perfect!:p Unfortunately there is no Cartier boutique here, but I will check it out online. Thanks djmm for all your help!

honestly, they are all great, just for different purposes. the patek looks great to me (one of my favs but currently a girl can only dream ;-), but rolex is a classic everyday watch. the cartier does not look as 'flashy' next to the other two but is very understated. i'd say keep them all (haha) but if you are really tired of the look, i'd say trade in the rolex and keep the cartier as well. if it were me, i would keep what I have and pass on the patek.

I am very particular with watches, that's probably why I don't wear any! I want it to have at least a second hand and a date, especially if I'm paying big bucks-it has to be practical. It has to be versatile, I know some of you would take out your watches to do house chores, but for me, it can't be like disrobing to do one thing: that's why it's important for it to be waterproof or at least resistant, and the wrist portion of the watch has to be water permeable. Even the back dial has to be black so I can see the contrast numbers and tell time better and faster.

But you sound like you like your patek, so why not?
