Hey everyone, I’m so excited hubby just bought me the Cartier panthere for my bday. Wanted to show pictures because this thread in particular helped me so much in choosing. I was extremely indecisive on the size, but did go for the medium. And, I do love it. Anyways, thought I’d share!

Hi,

After having been stalking this thread for a long time, I went through the preloved route and ended up getting my forever dream watch. She has arrived today and is so so stunning. She took my breath. Just looking at her I feel like being blown out in the paradise :heart:

I was hesitant and kept asking myself if the solid gold with diamonds is too much. In the beginning, I though I loved the medium ss or small two tones with diamonds, or just a plain yg. Maybe I was just afraid of the price tag of the solid yg with diamonds. So I told myself that something cheaper would be fine lol. I like to read this thread a lot and I’ve learned from what people think and purchase.

So after watching and having several debates with myself, I came to a conclusion that, as I always want this one, I have to get it. This is my ultimate goal that I don’t want to miss. Again I don’t want to get the cheaper ones because, when the right and more expensive one comes by, I know I would regret it. The price tag is not what you can easily retract after purchase. Cartier watches in general don’t keep well their value in the aftermarket. But I love them so much.

Thank you for all useful information that helped me making the decision and for letting me share my  here. She’s the small size yg with diamonds.

It's not too much at all, especially as it's the small model. It looks very elegant on your wrist and I hope it will serve you well forever.

Stainless steel panthere owners! Wondering if the case of your watch has a lot of (or some ) hairline scratches? ie. the two outer square areas around the face numbers and dial!

I'm fully prepared that the bracelet will have scratches because of my wrist resting on desk, keyboard etc.. but is it a unrealistic expectation that the case will be near perfect?

Think I already know the answer, but just want some reassurance that the hairline scratches I already see are normal wear and tear...

I have had mine since March and would have to say other than the one accident I had dropping a big water bottle cap HARD on my watch that caused a visible scratch, I have been impressed with how pristine the outer square area looks! I even wear my tennis bracelet with it and it would cross over sometimes and haven’t noticed any scratches from that.

Thanks for your reply! I'm picturing those swell water bottle caps - ouch! I see a few hairline scratches already (only visible under certain light and angles) and honestly I don't think I caused them. I haven't really worn the watch and only tried it on at home a few times. I think it could be from when I took it to a boutique for resizing... but I can't prove if they did it so I don't even want to ask them if they can look/fix it.

Totally get that scratches are bound to happen since it's a highly polished shiny SS, it just hurts a bit! Made a mental note to look into cape cod cloths when I want to polish the watch in the future after more wear.

I am on the hunt for a watch next year and the panthere watch in rose gold, small size is at the top of my wishlist. Thanks for the eye candy.

I’ve tried the RG small too. It’s very unique, looks more modern than the YG but difficult to find in the preloved market. And the boutique’s price of the new one hurts a lot
