I cleaned out my jewelry box on Friday and purged all of my old, ugly and broken gold. I decided to take it to my favorite jeweler and sell it. After it was weighed and calculated, they offered me $300 cash or $500 in Pandora!!!! I chose the Pandora, of course! Now, it is like I can shop there for free! I am so excited to go there this week and make some bead choices. I only got the elephant and the ebb and flow beads on Friday and have a lot more credit to use there as soon as I choose what I want. The Pandora area was so crowded on Friday that I didn't stick around choosing from the cases. I just took a new catalog and have been shopping from that until I go back on Monday. I am being really picky and choose-y this with this "purchase." I have tons of bead combinations that spend the rest of my money and I am having fun on the bracelet builders on-line!
NICE STORE, SOOO HAPPPY FOR YOU!! The ebb and flow is a good choice, its being retired this year.I got to get mine!:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Hi all,

I found this thread via Google...

I discovered Pandora a few weeks ago, when a sales rep' came in the jewelry store where I work... So I also got directly addicted !

I've only got a few beads for the moment, as you can see on the pic.

I had a question about the timebead... I'm really interrested. Can anyone post a pic of the back of this bead, I'd like to see how it looks like (for exemple, if it could be easy to change the battery and how you put it on the bracelet)
Thanks in advance !

(and sorry for my bad english...)

Hannah

that's fabulous. I wish I had that much old gold to sell. Enjoy your spree

thanks, it sounds like they cheap out a bit with the gold. I think either metal should be made the same size, since so many people do a two tone look and mix them. I did notice it while I was at the store and had them check, none of their gold or oxidized bracelets had the crown!! No big deal I guess but I liked the crown logo better.

I have the gold bracelet with all gold charms. All of the charms are quite heavy and it doesn't look to me like Pandora has "cheaped" out at all on these charms. They are all pretty much the same size as all of my silver charms. They were certainly expensive enough! :p The gold clasp on my gold bracelet is the same size as the gold clasp on my two tone necklace which is the same size as the silver clasp on all of my silver bracelets. I don't have any of the newer style clasps. I have the gold snake and it's the same size as the silver snake and my gold heart is the same size as my silver heart. The gold daisy safety is smaller then the silver daisy safety, but that is probably more to keep the cost down and keep it affordable. Let's face it, the more gold Pandora puts into a piece the more they're going to charge. On pieces like the safety I honestly don't mind if it's a little smaller. After all the silver safety is smaller then the beads too and since you don't wear two safetys on the same bracelet, not big deal there.

Hi Girls well I've been TRYING to catch up on this thread over the last few days since getting back from USA.

I did get myself some Pandora- of course- while in the USA though I only ended up in the one store. I went to a lovely little shop in the Forum Shop in Ceasears Palace, Las Vegas- gosh it was like walking the streets of Rome and finding Pandora it was FANTASTIC. (I knew it was there somewhere cause I checked out the addresses the on the net that morning)

I didn't go mad- which I'm pleased as I just paid my credit card bill yesterday and partly due to the Tax and exchange rates (I forget u guys add tax afterwards in the states) It ended up costing $14au more than I would have paid for the same 3 beads here in OZ. LOL oh well It's still worth it to say I got them on my hol!!!

As suggested here (thanxs) i got the silver/ gold star dangle to represent Hollywood and walk of fame etc which nicely completes my 1st bracelet. I also got myself the Dice for my silver bracelet (also suggested here- cheers)- which they had plenty of and apparently are actually getting a GOLD dice in too.

This was a GOLD actual Pandora Concept Store and apparently they are the only ones with the Dice and Pandora is making them GOLD ones just for them in Vegas!!!????? That was what I was told by the SA's there- I think they were getting them the next day and were trying to upsell to me- but I was going to the Grand Canyon the next day so had no time to return and I'd bought myself a Tiffany Bracelet in Rodeo Drive so didn't think I should get myself too much Pandora.

I also got my daughter the suitcase which was made even more appropriate as we'd just been into the Paris Hotel and up the Eiffle Tower, so I was tempted to get that for myself too. I'm probably doing Paris when I go back to UK next year though so i may hold off till that holiday for my own suitcase.

The SA cleaned my bracelet for me- It kept getting so dull over there as it was warm and a combination of sunscreen etc- yuck!!! I did have a go at cleaning it in the shower with baby shampoo the first few days as I was desperate- I hate them getting dull- what's the point of wearing a $3500 bracelet if it looks crapy! Anyway it came up quite well. I just LOVE my finished bracelet but find i'm not wearing my silver one much- I think I must add some colour to it and maybe a little more gold!!! LOL I can't help it.

Hi yes I am recovering from Jet Lag and a VERY busy trip- It was Fantastic though and I can't wait to go back at some point- i'd like to do Washington and New York. I'd also like to spend longer in Orlando (last time I only went for 5 nights)- I love the States- did some serious shopping though- LOL and eating out.

I'm pleased to report all the walking I did everywhere, Disneyland, Hollywood, LA, Universal Studios, Vegas, Hoover Dam and Grand canyon all in 15 days I actually lost a kilo the first week and managed to keep it off- I expected to put on a kilo or so!!!

How fun to hear of the shop in Vegas! I hope to be there in the near future.

Meantime, I will have fun going over this forum. I collect Pandora, Troll, Chamilia and some Biagi, as well as artisan glass beads.

I also started a yahoogroup to discuss my addiction.

I'm also trying to find a bead that looks like a bear (not a koala) hugging the bracelet chain. I've seen it on a bracelet, but I don't know the brand. Have you seen it anywhere?

Back to looking at pictures! Oh! and that is a wonderful deal to get more in Pandora than if you'd taken money for the gold. I wonder what Pandora feels about that, as they are pretty sticky. Go for it! I sure would.

Gosh, expect to spend ALOT of time in Washington and NYC. You need several days in order to explore each of them. I grew up living near NYC and now I live near Washington DC. Both places are awesome but take some getting used to!! I do highly recommend it though!!

I just finished my first bracelet this week! I absolutely love it. :) Now I'd like to do a silver and gold or gold $$$.

To anyone who says they look cheap, they are by no means cheap. I got mine as a gift with one charm from a good friend of mine and by the time I was finished spent around 1,100. :amazed: I'm surprised at how luxe it looks and adore everyone's bracelets here as well.

I think I'm going to go back to the store this week to get safety chain.

I just meant 'cheap out' by making them smaller... I don't have any gold beads (yet:graucho:) to compare though, but I guess if it helps keep the cost down, it's a positive thing, since the gold is all so pricey! The gold clasp on my new ss bracelet is def. smaller than my silver clasp though, maybe it's a new one? I'll have to take a comparison pic later. It's not like a huge difference but enough for me to notice when I laid them side by side.

At the jewelry store the trade was not specifically for Pandora. The choice was: $300 cash or $500 in store credit. Because the only thing I buy at the store is Pandora, for me the trade was for store credit that I would spend on Pandora merchandise. I know that this deal is pretty standard with jewelry stores that trade cash for gold, so I am sure that this store is not doing anything that would make Pandora upset. **Just thought that I would clear the matter up. :D
