Yesterday I had to take my Boy cat to the vet for the last time. He was getting too unwell from his long term kidney problems to let him go on, we were already doing subQ fluids for the last 6 weeks but it wasn't really helping.
He was a stray I picked up 4 years ago, and he just had the most gentle soul.
He is home with me now and Angelique (the cat in my pic) has been saying goodbye, and in an hour we leave to have him privately cremated.
I know there are lots of pet lovers here who understand. Such a hard thing to have to do, even when you know it's right. We'll miss our sweet Boy very much.

his ears are all tatty from the years of living on the streets and fighting, and you can see the scars on his nose as well.
I know in my heart his last few years were very good, but all the bad years still make me so sad for him

what a beautiful boy. and it is so good of you to bring him home so his buddy can say goodbye. most people don't understand that animals mourn too and need closure just like their two-legged parents.thank-you for your kind words and thoughts, I appreciate them
