ooh, the cupcake is a great idea, especially since I got that last week from kendalldew and it's still new in the baggie. LOL
I have a question. Where do you see the "name" of the bead? In my catalogue it only has the style number. thanks

If you use the official pandora website (pandora-jewelry.com) you have to click on the bead and you'll see the name near the bottom of the page in the description area. If you go to pandoramoa.com (Pandora Mall of America website) or waterfalljewelers.com (or any of the dozens of other sites out there) the name of the bead is typically listed under the bead along with the number.

Hello Ladies and welcome to the new addicts. :D

I love the new thread with all the pictures. Some lovely creations.
I will have to take some more of mine and my DSD (I know I have been saying that for months now - but I am a techotard and I've been flat out lately). It took me ages to read all the posts - you have all been busy!

I am off the the jeweller today. I think I may have to get a new clip for my bracelet. I currently have the gold ones with the hearts on them but one has worn and it now slides off the clip part as the whole is bigger. I find annoying when a bead then screws its self on there.

I will see if he can build it up or if I have to buy another one and just have that one as a "bead". I can't afford a new gold one (bl**dy price rise.... grumble... grumble... grumble) so if I have to get one it will either be 70140 (silver with gold flowers) or 79383 (silver with gold scroll and PSA). I will get two of them as I do like them to match. I could then have both my gold ones as "beads"

Anyone know if Gilletts still do the free bead with purchase over $100.00?

My bracelet has a princess theme (please indulge me, I have sons!! lol), I have the "princess & the pea" bead, the plain bead with gold crown & some purple (regal?) oval crystal beads. I hope to get a coronet bead (79326) & amethyst one (79371 AM). I will post a pic later.

Tiff xx

I love the idea of a princess theme. What a lovely idea!

The ones you have chosen are lovely! If it were me I'd be busting to add the following: queen bee, "Cinderella's" shoe, "Snow White's" apple, the weddding cake (as all princesses marry princess'), horse (for prince charming to arrive on), 75434 (if budget allowed) cos it looks like a crown, tea cup (as they are Ladies) and a frog (for the one's she kissed before she met princess charming).

You are REALLY good at the theme thing! All marvelous suggestions. :D

I've just posted a pic of my bracelet but am really unsure about the purple beads I have (I did say I'm indecisive lol). I really love the peachy/pink murano 79625 but am unsure how to mix it with the beads I have (I could take back the newly purchased pink murano & swop it). Is it ok to just have one murano or should you aim for at least two? I was aiming for a princess theme but DH say I should just get the beads I really, really love.

I purchased my bracelet from a lovely little shop in Cambridge & the ladies there had put together some really lovely combinations (wish I had taken some pics now). Sadly I don't live nearby.

Your bracelet is very pretty! I think the pink murano looks great with the purple oval lights -- I wouldn't swap it. I also think how many glass beads you put on it is a personal preference. Whatever looks and feels good to you is what you should do.

Ooooo DaisyLorraine I love your daughters bracelet (she must be so happy with it).

Thank you :smile1:. She does love her Pandora and she gets a lot of compliments on it at school.

thanks. Wouldn't I love a trip to the Mall of America!!!!!

Okay, I've really gone over to the dark side now. A local jeweler had ONE gold strawberry left and I couldn't resist. I put it on layaway. I think I got a good price though. It was $175.
OMG, I just looked on Denmark-beads and it's over $500 USD. I got a great deal
You got an awesome deal! i got 3 at waterfalls and paid just a bit more. We all love strawberries in tampa cause during the strawberry season they are so yummy and delicious. We also have the big strawberry festival once a year here and my baby girl is addicted to strawberries. So I had a lot of justification to buy my gold ones.:p Anyways dont feel too bad i spent a lot of $$$$ recently on a bunch of retired beads. But finding retired beads for me has become an obsession:nuts:

I love the strawberry (gold and silver) because the silver was the first retired I bought. Now, I have an entire bracelet of retireds (actually too many for one bracelet, I have to trade off). I love the thrill of the hunt for the retireds. A lovely lady on here purchased some America retired in Australia for me, so I had a thrilling package last week of those. I was lucky in that the store I got the gold strawberry in doesn't gouge you for the retireds. I have one other store that I've basically cleaned out of retireds as well. Yes, I agree it is an obsession

I'm just loving those pictures on the other thread...and I think all those 'ideas' for beads and what they can symbolize are fantastic!!!
I SO need (or want) the stiletto shoe, the wedding cake, some oval lights....oops should get back to work, but so hard when my mind is on Pandora....:girlsigh:
