I had some bad news today so I wanted to buy myself something nice (which always helps a little). I stumbled on a store that carried these bracelets. I really like them. They are very cool  and I love how you can personalize them. The only thing is that I was estimating spending about $1,000. to fill it up and I hate spending that amount on anything that is a bit trendy. Are the beads that are sterling and 14k really $130 each or were they just overpriced? You could buy a David Yurman ring for half the price of the bracelet. Does anyone know how to do it for less?

I've been looking at several websites that sell Pandora jewelry because I think I'm going to get one very soon. All the prices seem to be standard, at least on the websites. The SS bracelet empty is $36. The SS charms without stones are around $16.50. The ones with stones are more pricey. Several of the websites give you the ability to build a bracelet by dragging charms onto the chain to see what it will look like. The one I've designed is going to cost me $607.50. I'm not sure if I'll have to pay tax. Most offer free shipping. Btw, I had 18 charms on the bracelet and two clips. I've never seen Pandora jewelry IRL. Is it worth it to invest $607.50 on a SS bracelet with CZ stones?

I have one, I  it, I NEVER take it off. Mine is almost full and I'll be getting another one when it is.

I've got a couple of my beads off ebay from a great seller (collectabead). Only problem is she doesn't ship to Canada so I have to get them sent to someone in the US and then shipped up to me but worth it for what she charges!

I started my bracelet with just one bead and it didn't look bad...now my kids and hubby give me beads for occasions (and I've been known to buy myself a few too). IMO it's totally worth the money.

Let me see if I can figure out how to post a pic...

Imageshack is not cooperating with me, I will try to post pics tomorrow.

I can't say enough good things about Pandora. When I bought my glass beads I asked if they ever broke...the SA told me if I had any problems at all that they would exchange, no questions asked...the company is fantastic about their product.

They really are fun. I think if you stayed away from the 14k beads it's more affordable. I'm not sure if it's a trend that will last only because retailers and designers are really pushing the yellow gold now. I'm still in love with the white gold and the silver. I hope other people feel the same and boycott the yellow trend because I would love to make one of these and this bracelet in yellow gold would be thousands.

I went to a jewelry store yesterday that sells Pandora jewelry/charms and I fell in love! The charms are so much more detailed & pretty IRL. I went a little nuts. They didn't have everything I wanted but a shipment is coming in next week. I will be getting a silver bracelet, two clips, and approx. 20 charms. All in silver. I 'm with you, Suzi, I'm not a fan of yellow gold. I can't wait until next week! I'll post pics of my bracelet when I get all the charms on it.

Hehe~~my BF just made me a Pandora bracelets for our anniversary:party: !!! It has several beads each represents  memorable moment in our relationship:tispy: :D (Our first date, the day he gave me his house key, the day we got a puppy etc etc)

i don't really care for them, BUT if my BF was as thoughtful as your's, I would sleep with it every night! adoreable!

there's no way i'm spending that kind of money on SS. I'd rather put the money towards a bag!

Oh, Kat, I can't wait to see! I've really been wanting one of these myself after reading about them here.

I have several Pandora bracelets in various colors. I like the sterling silver beads with gold accents. Pandora bead charms are very addicting - it is hard to buy only one bead.

Please remember not to swim or go into a hot tub with your Pandora bracelet on. It will ruin your bracelet. Also, use a jewelry cleaning cloth to polish your bracelet. Never immerse it in sterling silver cleaner. It will strip the oxidation off your beads - the oxidation gives each bead detail and depth.

Pandora also offers Pandora Match. There are earrings, rings and necklaces made to "match" some of your favorite Pandora beads.

Experiment with various Pandora beads to give your bracelet texture and color. Try Murano glass beads - they are very durable and add color to your bracelets.

Have fun creating your bracelets! I would love to see pictures of your bracelets.

I'm from Denmark where Pandora is designed, and at a time it was so popular that everyone was wearing them, and now they are not that "in" anymore. Here they got "overexposed" very very quickly, but they are still very beautiful and some people still wears them.

It just takes much of the fun when almost all girls around 10 and younger are wearing just the same jewellery as yourself

I have seen almost all Pandora and troll beads IRL and they are all

So if you still like them, go for them!

Can anyone tell me what the comparison is as far as quality is concerned between Pandora beads and Troll beads? Has anyone seen both lines IRL?

I am familiar with both Troll and Pandora. As retailer, I carried both lines in my store and on my website. I only carry Pandora at this time. I prefer the quality of Pandora beads but that is a personal preference.

Troll bracelets do not have the twist mechanism like Pandora bracelets. If you look at a Pandora bracelet, you will notice that at the end it has a screw ending plus two raised screw areas dividing the bracelet into thirds. A Troll bracelet is a continuous bracelet without any raised areas. Beads slide on a Troll bracelet and if your bracelet is not full, the weight of the beads will fall to the bottom or on one side.

Pandora has a patented screw mechanism where beads screw on to the bracelet. The two raised areas towards the middle of the bracelet are for clips that snap on. Clips will keep your beads evenly divided on your bracelet and keeping beads where you want them.

Pandora beads will fit on a Troll bracelet but most Troll beads will not fit on a Pandora bracelet due to the screw mechanism. Some Troll bead openings are large enough on a Troll bead to go over the Pandora screw mechanism but some are not. Each will have to be tested on an individual basis.

Troll beads offers beautiful Murano glass beads but their sterling beads are a bit more unusual than Pandora. I prefer the look of Pandora beads. In the USA, Pandora is preferred over Troll.

Pandora will be releasing two new beads in time for Easter that are arriving next week - a bunny and Easter egg. Very cute!
