Hi GlamourMum

I LOVE Melbourne- I was a tourist here in 1999 and ended up marrying an aussie I met in 2000- I've only lived here 6 years and LOVE it!!!!

To be honest since I gave up work to be a full time mum I visit the city alot less often- no more 9-5 slogs and train journeys!!!!! Hence I haven't dragged my 2 little ones in to hunt out the Pandora shops- I'd LOVE to go on my own and have a good look but I'll wait till after my LA trip- I'm planning on hunting out the Pandora sellers over there tough.

The only shop i've bought Pandora from in the CBD is in the OLD Melbourne GPO building- it's on the corner of Bourke and Elizabeth Street and is an old Post office (GPO) converted into a small Mall for designer shops. The bottom level has a PANDORA concept shop. Which is FANTASTIC all pandora nothing else- heaven!!!!

My daughter went in with my hubby to choose my Christmas Pressie Charm from my 2 toddlers!!!! She picked the present- makes sense- the girls in the shop were lovely and even though they had run out of that charm (the concept shops will not sell the last one of each charm- so they permanently have one on display) she actually found one in the window on a display bracelet and unthreaded it for her- she was quite disappointed as she had choosen it from the computer site a few days before- so had her little heart set on it- bless her!!!!

Littlesharon mentioned a new stockist in Exhibition Street?????? Maybe she can fill u in on that one.

Enjoy your trip.

Thanks so much...it sounds like I could live there too! Funny how I have travelled to quite a number of countries (when I was younger) and even worked in Sydney for sometime but never visited Melbourne. Also want to take in a show and go to the markets etc (good mother/daughter bonding)...both of us into Pandora!!

Oh Golden Touch why no bungy jumping? (ha ha I don't blame you, never tried it myself) but I'm not sure about the accommodation near the Waitomo Caves :confused1: unless you want to share with the glow worms it is fairly isolated....then theres Rotorua of course!

By the way ladies, if I was to start a black theme bracelet would it be better to buy the oxidized bracelet ?

Oh a show. I've seen Wicked and Rocky Horror recently here in Melbourne I don't think either of them are still on.

Currently Billy Elliot is on which is supposed to be GREAT. Here's the link to Ticketek.

The Markets are great they did lose there novility for me as I used to go there all the time during my lunch hour. Still when I have overseas visitors it's always somewhere they LOVE to go and see.

I have a girl friend who has a oxidized bracelet and it looks very nice! I must admit I was thinking it would look "weird" but it does't. Mine is so dirty at present that it looks oxidized.

I love the Melbourne markets when I ever get to go there! Shopping in Melbourne is fantastic. I usually take an empty suitcase. My DH wanted to go this weekend as we have tix to the Motor show but it's my Grandma's 94th birthday and we couldn't miss that. And it was $ that doesn't need to be spent before we head of the NZ. I love walking along near the Casino at night where the have the big towers that shoot flames in the sky on the hour.

No bungy jumping as I will be 4 and a bit months pregnant :yahoo:(all going well so far but fingers still crossed) and I would not cope watching my DH throw himself off a bridge!

We have got Rotorua on the list. I want to go in the hot pools (if I can being pregnant :confused1: )

Pandoraholic - I think Wicked and Billy Elliot will be finished by the time we get there in July .... disappointed but apparently Jersey Boys will be starting ?

Golden Touch - Definitely NO bungy jumping for you ! Also I'm not sure whether you should go into those hot pools either (gee I'm sounding like a real Mother) some of them are boiling ? It's a real nice place but the smell of sulphur can be overpowering.

this was posted by a fellow pandora lover on another pandora forum.

she found this picture in a magazine, she believes these could possibly be a few of the new style charms that are coming out. i agree too, they sound very similar to the ones charmqueen posted several pages back.

(not counting the spacers)
bead #1 is this an enamel or murano?
bead #4 i think this could be the ying yang bead charmqueen mentioned??
bead #6 the black fish scale gold murano - charmqueen also mentioned new gold murano.

i think they look devine! i especially loooove that murano pattern, pity its in gold!!!! i wont be able to afford it.

i love the creation of the necklace too, so stunning - black, white and gold.

I see a white enamel barrel bead with cz stones that is new. The gold core black glass bead is new and will be available in several other colors. There's a black and white enamel bead that is the yin yang bead that is another new one. Those are the three new beads that I see in this picture that will be released in "late spring", according to Pandora.

I'm loving the black, white and gold too...but hard to justify the price of the gold even though it certainly looks stunning. Honestly, I loved the little gold purse but for just a little more (and on sale) I bought a beautiful gold belcher bracelet with heart....hmmm

Hi Everyone,

I have several bracelets that are sterling and European beads that are compatible with Pandora, but not authentic Pandora beads. I love mixing it up, I have several Nagara beads and I love the Sterling with .Swarovski crystals in them. Heres another example.

I put these together myself and I would LOVE some constructive criticism from you all, you definitely have more expertise than I. Do these look chintzy since they aren't all Pandora?

Thanks for your comments.

Hi dellis:) Personally I like the sterling Pandora beads due to the oxidation on them, but I LOVE those glass beads you have on yours. The pink ones are awesome!

They are beautiful bracelets:tup:

Ive been meaning to post a better pic of my finished bracelet.I was done with it a few wks back then my dh got me 2 new beads for Valentines...so I had to substract & add:)

I also had to work in my original Aquamarine/Gold that I finally got back from Pandora(it was being exchanged due to damage). It was one of the first beads I got,and by the time I received the replacement I had no more space for it LOL. Anyway..I worked it in. I also left a small space available for the possibility of adding the doggy charm, since we (finally!!) found the puppy of my dreams to add to our family:heart:

Heres a pic of my bracelet, and also of my new baby "Lola" (shes 9wks in the pic). I had the name picked out months before (therefore my handle here):
