I have a TDF Red bag that would be just as modern as any of the newer brands. I have had mine for years with a dust bag. I will post when I take a picture..

i had a paloma piccasso bag for a long time, years ago before i really got INTO purses.

it was nice, but one major issue i had was if it got wet, even in the slightest, the dye would come off all over me. once i had a white jacket on, and it got covered in brown dye.

eventually i dropped it in the charity bin, as i was too scared to continue carrying it.

Expanded Picasso Image
The continual success of Paloma and Rafael's ventures encouraged them to broaden their creative horizons even further. In 1987 Rafael expanded the Paloma Picasso image by creating a New York City-based company, Lopez-Cambil Ltd., to produce and distribute Paloma Picasso accessories - handbags, belts, umbrellas, and small leather goods - to be imported from Italy. This collection, labeled as Couture accessories, gained international notoriety for its flawless quality and impeccable design, which fueled the creation of their relatively less-expensive line, entitled "By Paloma Picasso." Both casual and elegant, this collection allows Picasso to reach a larger audience, with a comprehensive range of contemporary, affordable accessories, which constitutes a fast-growing part of the company.

I was taking out all my bags last night and found my ivory Paloma Picasson with gold chain. It was already more than a decade and I was amazed at the condition. The leather still look good, the chain still looks new. I think the quality of this bag is better than my LV and Chanel. At least no need to send to repair or cleaning.

I just purchased one at a thrift shop - black patent with gold chain and closure. Signed on the bottom. Really sweet cocktail bag. BUT, the fabric is loose from the gold trim. I tried taking it to my shoe repair guy, but he doesn't like to work with metal. Can't find anyone to repair it. Is it even worth it? Does Paloma have a website?

OMG! I still have my little black one. I just realized. I gave it to my daughters. It's still in mint condition! It's a shoulder strap with a draw cord with little "x's" at the ends, which was her trademark. So funny you should bring this up now.

I might wear it the next time I get dressed up as an evening bag!
