Any update from others who have purchased the bag? Curious how you are liking it. I was hoping to find a petit palais but could only put a grand on hold to pick up tomorrow and am so nervous it’ll be too large for an everyday bag. I do want something big enough to hold things like a sunglass case, bottle of water, large wallet, so hoping I’ll be happy with this. I am currently using my Georges BB as an everyday bag and while I adore it, it holds almost nothing so needed something more practical for daytime!

I absolutely adore my Grand Palais and have used it a lot. I’m not petite, so it looks right on my frame, but I could see it being too big for smaller statures. It’s so easy to use and is sooooo beautiful! No wear to comment on yet, I thought I scuffed a corner recently but was just my imagination, phew! It’s a big bag, easily fits an iPad, water, makeup bag, wallet, book etc
Thank you so much for the update!! I am a larger woman so hoping that’s a positive for the bag to body size ratio! Do you find it to be heavy when empty? I am sure I can fill to the brim but that was one thing I hated about the on the go - it was very heavy with nothing in it!
I don’t find it heavy at all when empty, but it’s weighty when full to the brim! When I have my few essentials in it it’s no bother!
Unfortunately I didn’t love the grand palais - I can see it being a great work bag but I think I really need the petit for what I want to use it for (and they didn’t have it in stock). I also didn’t love how close the straps we’re for the cross body strap, it just felt different than I am used to. Unfortunately I am in Hawaii so won’t get the benefit of the cheaper prices if I can’t find what I want here 
It is a big bag, the Petit lol old beautiful too! Maybe the Montaigne might suit? For a work bag Grand Palais is IMO the best from all brands! Seriously, I’ve been searching everywhere and only GP has everything I wanted, and is also beautiful and classy. Definietely not a boring, huge, „briefcase”.
As much as I love it, I think it’s not the best choice for everyday bag. I use it for work, only but besides work I just don’t carry that much, and prefer smaller bags.
I like the style but I am a bit concern the strap hook at the handle not on the side. Does it cause trouble when you unzip if you wear crossbody?
I had a chance to touch it in store some weeks ago. On its own, the bag feels quite “weighty”. I didn’t bother trying with anything in it because I know it will be too heavy for me as I’m an always the one who stuffed bags.
The biggest bag size that are considered light are Speedy B 25 in any canvas. Coussin PM (without the chain) is surprisingly light too. Smaller bags than these would be light because of the space limit, I won’t be able to overpack it.
Although I really like the whole Petite Palais look, the weight and the placement of the strap (chained to handles like Alma BB) is the dealbreaker for me. For such a “big” bag to be chained at the handles instead of sides of the bag feels weird/cheap to me. Alma BB I can accept it being chained to the handles as the size is nifty.
Agreed, it’s a firm favourite here!! I used it mostly for work too, but have brought it on days I need to carry a bit more!
