Overstock has crappy fine jewlery. Before my husband purcahsed my emerald diamond ring, he bought a ring from Overstock.com and it was awful!!!!!!!!!! 2.5 ct SI quality ring and just ughhhhhhh. Of course he had no clue about diamond quality and grades. Needless to say, he returned it, overstock was great about refunding the money, and we TOGETHER chose a different ring. We are MUCH MUCH happier with what we got. PS...... we got ours on Ebay from the sellers Shenoa.

HORRIBLE service. I have never bought jewelry from them, but I did buy two digital cameras for my daughters a couple of years ago. They sent different cameras from what I ordered, with no explanation. These were far inferior to what I had ordered- and paid for. It took forever to straighten out. Their customer service is the worst. I would NEVER buy from Overstock.com again.

A friend of mine ordered some linens, they were never sent out. While processing the refund, they tried to charge her a restocking fee, and it took her forever to straighten out. I look at the site, but have always been too afraid to order.

I have ordered from Overstock a bit and I have always been pretty happy... However I don't even want to mess with returns from what I've heard..no experience myself...

BUT I wanted to caution people, Overstock. com deals in authentic merchandise BUT Overstock Auctions is a different matter...they are just people like on E-bay..so be careful there.

Same here, I usually buy books or bed linens only from them.
I would refrain from designer items from them.

I've had good experiences with overstock..... here's a 18K white (with a little yellow) gold about half carat princess cut canary diamond pendant surrounded by white diamonds. I had a jeweler look at it and they feel the clarity is good about SI and it has a beautiful sparkle. Just a camera phone pic so not too great...... the chain they put it on was crap though, but I had a chain I planned to use for it anyway....

I have ordered several things from Overstock with no problem. I have ordered bedding, kids toys, one pair of pink sapphire earrings, a Fendi and D & G bag NOT huge savings but nice.

I agree with the above poster...smart bargains is so much better. I purchased a set of 14kt. gold stackable rings for my daughter and they are great. I also purchased a pair of topaz earrings which are also great. Overstock often sells returns and refurbished items. I have never been impressed with them.

Just like a couple of posters, I mostly buy beddings from them and they do have great sheets with reasonable prices.

I had bought a couple of bags from them a long time ago. I also bought a pair of diamond earrings from them and felt that they mis-represented the product - the picture showed the diamonds to be baguettes, in reality, they are just oddly shaped pieces put together. I don't think I will buy any diamond jewelry from them again.

I have bought a couple of watches from them and they were good, no problem whatsoever.

I have never had to deal with their customer service so I don't know if they are good or not. I don't like the fact that they charge a restocking fee for returns.
