Speaking of the outlets.... I witnessed an interesting exchange between a SA and a customer. I'm finding they have lots of the saddle bags (the ones sold at the department stores that look like the old Patricia bags) on the FP delete tables and the SA was actually telling someone that those were the exclusive 1941 saddle bags! I wanted to butt in and correct her but the customer beat me to it and told the SA she was misinformed and those were certainly NOT the 1941 bags. The SA then replied that they were because Coach shipped them directly to them and they never sell department bags. The customer told her she was wrong again, to get inform and know their products and walked away.

OMG I had a very similar conversation at my local outlet last Thursday with a couple SA's. I saw those Saddle Bags and they tried telling me they were 1941 bags and I corrected them and said that the black with the burgundy stitch was most definitely a department store bag because I know someone that bought one at Neiman Marcus (I think it was NM). The other red one may have come from the FP stores since I wasn't sure about that but definitely not the black one. I was looking at some other items that did not appear to be made for the outlet (the leather was too hearty and thick and the hardware was heavy duty) but they were SLG so didn't have the creed patch. One had the tell tale pillow inside that looks like the kind of thing they stuff into department store sold products. When I asked about it the same SA said it was an outlet item for sure and I said it confused me for those reasons but she just walked away saying "OK!!!" in a tone that made it clear I was annoying her. Unfortunately I think I knew more than she did about the bags but she made me feel bad about it. Not the experience I normally get there as most of the folks that work there are really nice. I did not tell her to get a clue. And earlier in that same visit all the other SA's were fawning over my tea rose Rogue I was carrying. LOL

Good for you to stand up! I'm sorry they made you feel bad. You are the customer and they are the ones who should know their products. With the flow of these non-1941 saddle bags into the outlet stores, I wonder if there are many more instances like this happening, you would think the SA's would learn what products they have.

I hate when the outlet SA's misinform the customers. I think it's ok for the customer to buy whatever they like regardless if it's a FP or MFF outlet product but it's NOT ok if that customer was mislead/misinformed on what product they purchased! That poor customer may go around thinking they have one of the 1941 items only to find out later it's not! To me that is as bad as fraud! Agh!

I called my local outlet (Aurora, IL) today and asked if they "had received any new transfer bags from the retail stores?" The SA told me that they still had some saddlebags and swaggers, but that they had gotten in a few Eddy bags. She confirmed that they didn't have any Rogue bags.

I stopped at the Aurora, IL outlet this afternoon and they just got in some new FP delete bags and there were 3 tiers of pricing, everything in the store was 50% off but:

- Some of the FP deletes (and a few of the most popular MFF bags) were 20% off plus another 50%.
- Other FP deletes were just 50% off, with no additional discount.
- Clearance was 40% plus off plus 50% off and it was mostly MFF items, but included the Disney items.

Here are the bags that were 20% plus 50% off, including some Eddy bags:

Here is the last set of spypics from Aurora, IL today; they had a rack of jackets, including some Disney jackets - I don't know what kind of discount they were giving on these.

Thank you for sharing these! I like "shopping" vicariously through you. I went quickly through the Carlsbad, CA outlet last week and they didn't have as good of a selection at all. Mainly the floral prairie items.

I like how the retail items are pretty nicely lined up for the most part and the outlet items look to be just thrown in

I think that the staff try to straighten things out the clearance section but it is a very popular spot and people keep coming up and grabbing stuff, so it's pretty hopeless.
