starbunny said:I love your hobo! It is gorgeous. However, be very light if you use the Oroton leather cleaner! I used the cleaner on my Victoria Tote in Cream and the cleaner lifted the colour off, but it works great on pen marks lol. I think your bag will be very durable because it looks like the leather is very thick in that style. As long as you love your bag it will always be worth it!
I'll try and show you a difference in the good and bad leather.
01 - Entourage Tote in Fuchsia. This pebble grain is durable, and is holding up well. Happily bought on Ebay because I still won't pay $295 for a bag that has no lining.
02 - Essentials Medium Tote (used to be known as the double handed tote). I bought this from the Oroton Outlet last year. The bag also has a pebble grain. However, the pebble grain is of lesser quality, and you can see different panels of the bag have different pebble textures. I was told by my SA that the Outlet bags are so cheap is because they haven't passed quality control.
03 - Romance Zip Top. This bag is 8 years old! And the leather is just as durable and beautiful as it was when I first bought it... and shamefully, I never even conditioned the bag. This is Oroton's lasting quality and why I'll never stop shopping there.
04 - Kiera B Hobo. This hobo is my Mum's and is kinda banged up (her Christmas present from me in 2008) but shows the old smooshy leather.
I lurve your little collection especially tote in fuchsia with bag charm on it!
I can see the zip top very good condition if not excellent. Since you didn't condition the bag would you do it if you can go back in time? SA told me about the conditioner and leather cleaner but in the excitement getting new shoe and bag charm too I totally forgot to purchase it.
