Hello, I just wanted to follow up with you regarding your order because I did the same without reading reviews first. Did you get your item? Were you charged additionally? I would be grateful for your response.

I ordered two separate times, but my orders were both canceled so I don't know what would have happened :/ good luck! please report back if you go through with the order

Hello, as I promised to respond back, so here we go: I received my item, in good condition, with attached disclaimer that the item I’ve ordered is inclusive, and I will not receive a duty bill. So, good luck with a future order

Hello:smile: thanks for responding back. I was about to have a mental break down, I also ordered without reading anything eager to get my paws on a pair of Amina M's... How long did your order take? if you don't mind, with the standard shipping?

FYI for higher priced goods - Customs through DHL requires your SSN along with other personal data before your shipment can be released to you, and may not quickly reach out to let you know there's a problem - for me it took about a week. I wasn't comfortable giving out my SSN (haven’t been asked this before with other imported goods with higher values), so I returned to sender :(

I have received a number of orders from 24S via DHL and never had to do this. I wonder if it's new.

Me either! Apparently DHL required the additional information in this instance because of the value (4k+).

Now the problem is no one at Harrods can locate the package, even though it was delivered back to them last week, and the items have been put back on their website for purchase (I had ordered the last two remaining items, and the back in stock items are the same sizes I ordered). Maybe it's a coincidence, but still unsettling.

I recently had placed an order with Harrods and got an email from a customer service agent asking for SSN, not because they require it but because DHL is requiring it. Completely caught me off guard and although I know it's from a legitimate service agent from Harrods, I still felt uncomfortable giving out my SSN to any non-US gov't agency. I ordered from them previously for similarly priced handbags and was never asked so this must be newly implemented from DHL. I think Harrods has dealt with numerous American consumers with the same reservations so the email stated that if I wasn't comfortable giving my SSN understandably so, that they would simply cancel the order. I had it cancelled. I am assuming there's a certain amount where they ask, but I didn't ask further in detail. My assumption would be $5,000+ because my order total was above that.

I purchased from Harrods alot, almost every months. My highest was $4000ish, thanks God they never ask me yet for SSN. Funny enough, I just purchased last week and today from Harrods. Hope DHL never ask SSN, I would be super disappoint if they do. I love shopping to Harrods, price much better than states!!

Has anyone ordered from Harrods for delivery to the US recently? If so, how was your experience? The Bottega bag I’m looking at comes to around $2300 (including duty, I think). I’m not comfortable giving out my SSN, so I’m hoping this wouldn’t be required for a purchase in this amount. Thanks!
