Hello! I recently made a purchase on Harrods.com and my order has been processing fro 4 days now and I'm very worried because I still have not received a confirmation email. I didn't even think to research if Harrods was trust worthy because of their reputation in-stores. I was wondering if anyone could help me out and inform me on your experiences of ordering from Harrods.com from the U.S.?

Even in the UK their delivery is a bit notorious for delays, usually if you poke them gently with an email and ask if there is a delivery problem and you should cancel the order, they tend to respond

Thank you so much for your response! I emailed them a few times already. Should I just send them an email and ask them to cancel my order? I'm just most worried about my order not getting to me. Will they eventually send me my package, or will I never get it?

I always got the items I ordered, though it took some time, I seem to remember that they used to have a toll free international number, or you could try calling them with a cheap precode, but honestly, 4 days processing is hardly anything out of the ordinary for Harrods.

Hi,
So I should've googled and researched more before shopping at Harrods website. I bought a bag and it came out to $697. Has anybody shopped here before? Did you have to pay any extra when it arrived in the US? There was a USD Tax charge for $41.
And then a domestic tax deduction for $131.21
My subtotal was about $700+

Please comment if you have any experience! I just want to know if I'll be paying a lot for customs or any other charges.

Did you receive your order? Can you update me when you do? & If there's any custom, import charges, any other taxes you have to pay? Im in United States waiting as well.

You posted 2hrs apart when most people in the US were sleeping so not surprising you didn’t get a response.

Was the USD tax an American tax added? When you went through the purchase process did it say anything about duty? Some companies ship having completed the inbound duty process for you but $41 sounds a little low for that.

If they didn’t tell you that duty and taxes were included then it will pass through customs and an Agent will assess whether you have to pay tax and duty on the item.

Has anyone purchased from Harrods online during this pandemic situation? It’s taking them awhile to ship out my order and confirm that it’s in stock - I’ve reached out to their customer service via email and online form several times, but I haven’t heard anything from their representatives.

How long did your order take to arrive?? I placed an order last week and the status is still "checking stock" :hrmm:

Hi! Just thought I'd share my experience even though it has been a while! Hopefully this helps anyone trying to shop from Harrods from the U.S. although things are probably very different now because of the pandemic. The bag I ordered came within a week of placing my order. However, they never sent a confirmation email and they never sent an email saying my order has been shipped. In addition, they never responded to any of my emails. But my bag did get delivered very quickly! It was safely packaged and I did not have to pay any custom fees. Although I got an amazing deal on my bag, I would not purchase from them again because I was so worried that I was never going to receive my bag. Hope this helps somebody :)

Has anyone else shopped at Harrods from the US lately? I just ordered a pair of Gucci shoes (subtotal $497 before $30 shipping fee, no tax charged) and am worried about getting hit with a large duties fee.. I tried looking at the guidance from the CBP, but it's vague as to what I can expect to be charged.. :/
