I ordered an etoupe canvas strap in a super short length and another etoupe canvas strap in a longer cross body length last week and the estimate came to $650 USD before taxes. I didn't have to leave my bag. They just made note of the bag's leather type, clemence, for the leather ends of the canvas straps. The materials are coming from Paris but the straps will be made by a San Fran craftsman (Dominique) for faster delivery, I'll let you know how much I actually get charged when the straps come in! Yes, this happened to me and not for an old bag. I bought a Blue Abysse Bolide from Isabel at Love that bag and that didn't have a clochette or lock/keys. I was told last week that if I wanted a replacement set then I would have to send the bag back to Paris. The bag is an M stamp so not old. Seems to be yet another new policy.
I was told h would not make canvas straps any more last year and it was suggested I buy an Evelyne. Whether this is true or not - Who knows with h. Shrugs.

I ordered a canvas strap for my Kelly and after a year and a half they sent me a longer leather strap instead. They wanted $800 for that strap, after that they suggested I buy an Evelyne as well, the only problem is my bag has gold hardware, and Evelyne's don't. I wouldn't have high hopes of ever receiving one even if they do take the order.
I had a canvas strap made for my Kelly (in my avatar) and it was around $300+. But it was a couple years ago.
Yes, it looks like I too am going to have to either buy an Evelyne to get a canvas strap OR wait until one pops up somewhere in the right length and color (whether it be matching or complimentary)....

I too have an amazone Kelly in etoupe. My sales wasn't able to order me a longer leather strap. She said it'd be easier for her to get my another bag. I first asked her three years ago and then once every six month afterwards. Till today I still don't have a leather strap. I just put my Kelly for sale on eBay. I'm going to order a Kelly with leather strap this time.

Hi hsiaomee, I have the etain/RC canvas strap and they are making me the leather version of that. Have no idea what it looks like but my SA said that's what they would make me. I'm surprise they won't do it for you. Mine did take a long time to be approved. I think it's being made in SF and that used to be my home store. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it but I doubt it.
I was trying to order an long canvas strap for my 40CM etain kelly. My local store said:" Sorry, we donot provide this kind of service for bags". The other store might have differ policies. I actually bought my croc leather strap there for changing my blk epsom leather strap of my H heure watch. So after receiving this message that I am thinking to buy an evelyne bag in etain color instead of of keep dreaming, or to buy an ticket to go the the FSH store try my luck. I was told no problem because my store has a local craftsman....that said the order is not in yet so who knows! The SF store (not mine) said up to a year for straps and you van only order twice a year; my boutique said anytime
