Oprah's Finale bracelet

I've always liked Oprah, but her departure was so drawn out that I was sick of her before she left. I think I watched too many of those 'behind the scenes' shows on her network, but it seemed like it was getting to the point where her promoters were trying to deify her. At any rate, I watched a little of her final episode, and jewelry lover that I am, I have to say that I didn't even notice the bracelet! I guess I was too spellbound at the sermonette she gave as her final show. :p

LOL.....yes, I must say that I found the final show rather dreary and quite "heavy". I almost felt as though I were reading the "Secret" all over again & I wasn't impressed with it to begin with.

So "sermonette" aside, the sparkly Schwartz bracelet was the one great distraction.

Surely there must be a copy somewhere! Maybe I'll email her ;)

The preaching really bothered me...I won't get into religion but as someone who practices a different religion than Oprah, I found some of her comments offensive.

:back2topic:

The bracelet looks very pretty. Lily, thank you so much for the closeups!

I'm surprised that faux copies aren't available yet. Weren't there copies of Lady Diana's engagement ring about 5 hours after she started wearing it?

I don't watch Oprah but after seeing this bracelet I may have to start.:pBTW what is Oprahs' religion? I guess I never thought about it before...

I taped her final show but I could barely get through half of it-she could have summarized her 'life lessons' in a much more succinct manner with maybe more interesting pertinent clips of past shows thrown in as examples. Waaayyyyy too much pontificating!!

I did admire that gorgy bracelet though-it looked stunning with her coral dress.

Honestly folks, I don't like them. :shrugs: Maybe if I saw them up close with the gobzillions of pink diamonds I would change my mind. But otherwise they whisper to me "Hobby Lobby."

Haven't watched her show in years, but at one time it struck me that whenever she did a show with a spiritual bent she always wore something crystally. But whenever she interviewed a celeb the hardcore monster diamond earrings came out. And she always seemed to be wearing a much bigger pair of diamond studs than the celeb. At one time I read that this was intentional. But then she's Oprah and I've always loved her jewelry which is why I noticed such things.

Felt very sad when she said that when she went to pick up her Academy Award for The Color Purple she wore honking big diamonds because she felt physically ugly and she wanted people to look at the diamonds, not at her.

I've always admired her as a woman, a broadcast entrepreneur, and above all as a human being. Yes, there's the loopy aspect, and many of her shows make me cringe which is why I stopped watching, but then we all suffer from our own special loopiness at times. Overall she's done more good in the world than most people could even dream of.

Since I'm not in the US and I don't watch any tv except GG and Dexter, I havent followed Oprah at all. There was a channel broadcasting her show but it was dubbed and I never watched it, but also the ratings were low and they soon stopped it.

I know of her as a charitable person, and a CL wearing woman, so I like her but I wouldn't cry like her fans in the audience because her show is over. As far as I know she has her own network now, so there will be plenty of Oprah.

When I was taking the screenshots I had it on mute, so I didn't hear what she was saying.

As for the jewels. I can't understand the design of the bracelet, are these drilled diamonds like the SATC necklace? I like the color but the fringe not so much. I loved the earrings, they were amazing.

It would be interesting to see the bracelet(s) up close and see how they're constructed. What's the SATC necklace?

Does anyone have a close-up of the earrings?

I'm embarrassed to admit that for years I was looking for a CZ version of her killer teardrop-dangle honking-big diamond earrings. :shame:

Those are the earrings

There are look a likes in the net if you search.

The SATC necklace AKA Carrie necklace that she received from the Russian with the drilled diamonds.

I'll PM you since tPF discourages discussions of religion.

I'm not sure she's any organized religion. I think she was born baptist & now she's 'spiritual'. She seems to pull from a lot of 'places' including recovery group philo's.

Dorreen PM me too if I got it wrong.

I liked her very last show more than the previous 2 with the celebrities. So not into the celebrity obession.
I cried the last show. Its more about it being around for 25 years & now its gone. I watched it from the beginning, would schedule my day around it, if possible. I usually get bored with shows.

When you see (IRL) wonderfully designed over the top jewelry, done by someone whose does quality work, it doesn't look cheap at all.
