I would axe no 3 too.I'm not such a huge fan of the Balenciaga hobo either...I like the other Balenciaga styles better.
I adore the muse...though I'm not sure about the longevity of the metallic. You MUST have a Muse wicked...it's a wonderful bag
. And if the metallic is the colour that grabs you best then keep it!!

Since everything is so structured, I was trying to branch out a little and find a more casual bag or two--hence the Lauren Merkin and the Balenciaga.
I'm starting to think that the metallic Muse could get dated because it's metallic. And the Muse and my Guccissima are very similar shapes...
I'll go look at the other B-bag styles again, but I was trying to avoid the First and the City since they're "trendier" to me. And the Twiggy is great--but I think it looks odd on the shoulder....

Right now I'm leaning towards passing on the Muse. The LM is supposed to arrive today, so if I'm not "instantly" in love with the bag, it'll go back immediately.

Oh, this is tough! I just got back from YSL in Beverly Hills, and they said that the Muse for fall is going to be amazing! I would maybe hold off until you see the fall line. I would NOT part with the Chanel either- that is as classic and as beautiful as they come.
And I cannot believe that this is about to come out of my mouth, but I would maybe get rid of the Balenciaga ONLY if you do not get enough wear out of it. I love it- but know you can sell it because it is still a relatively hot bag, and especially that color. The Merken is great, but doesn't to that much for me.

Well, I don't know if this helps, but the LM is considerably cheaper than the rest. So...getting rid of the LM might now help that much on the wallet.
I think you would tire of the muse (honestly). It's a great color, you're right...and I wonder if the metallic would rub off? Can you get it on your shoulder?
Don't give up on the reissue.

I'm not too excited about metallic bags (prefer bronze Muse over gold Muse though), do you like Muse in other colors? As for casual bags, I think there are better choices, don't like this LM & Balenciaga day (prefer first/city/twiggy/box) too much - I'm sorry for saying that.

I'm leaning towards returning the Muse. I'm not so sure about the gold. And all the other colors that are currently available for the Muse don't interest me.
I'm going to double check on the B-bag styles. I didn't like the "trendy" factor of the First and City. The Box is a definite "no" for me. The Twiggy is ok, but I think it sags in the middle when you put it on your shoulder.... The LM is probably sitting on my doorstep waiting for me while I'm still at work--I'll keep you all posted. Now I'm debating between the Rouille First or Day/Hobo OR if I should get an Epi Passy GM in red.... Boy am I indecisive or what this week!

I'm a fan of the muse. The gold is nice, but have you seen the bronze muse? I think the color is TDF. It's subtly metallic. Very elegant, and not too flashy or overdone.
And of course, that Chanel is just lovely!
