Opinions please on tea rose items

You saw it and couldn't stop thinking about it, that shows you REALLY liked that bag. That's when I know I'm in trouble, when I can't quit thinking about something. When that happens I know I'll eventually end up with whatever that item is. I don't think it's a fad, tea rose bags are too expensive to be a fad. But, so what if was? Fads may fade away, but those that really love the items keep on using them and there's nothing wrong with that either.

I agree with Suzanne and other posters about something just "hitting" you and it's something you just have to have. Only rarely have I regretted not following my instincts.

BTW, I'm 60+ and still march to my own drum beat. I don't dress like my granddaughters but I do like a little Boho Chic occasionally myself. lol I know my shoes are hip because the 3 teenage granddaughters are always wanting to borrow them. My purses...not so much.

ZSP - thank you for replying. So funny about your granddaughters wanting to borrow your shoes. I'm surprised they don't want to borrow your purses too. I bet they will someday. Thanks for your input!

Let me make this easy. Call Macy's at Herald Square. Tell them to read this thread. They gave me 30% off on that bag. Here is my receipt. They should honor it for you.

Thanks so much for posting this and especially the copy of your receipt. I took a screenshot of it in case you want to delete it. I don't know why, but I hesitate calling them to see if they can still do this. I figure it's too good to be true. Either they won't honor it, my cc number will get compromised (hate giving it over the phone), or I'll receive a non-perfect one. Yes, I'm a pessimist. lol. Ideally my local store would honor this but I know they won't. I've been busy and just saw this and am at work so can't try yet. Maybe this evening or this weekend...

Thanks. I'll delete it. I would just call and ask. Also, Saks will have 25% off sooner or later. Memorial day maybe.

I went back and forth on the rogue, the larger one was too heavy and I thought that the 25 would be too small....then I saw the 25 tea rose and it was LOVE! I came home and put all of my stuff into it and love it; have gotten many compliments on it and I've only been using it for a week! I'm not a flowery girl either and I'm in my late 50s, but, I think this bag is timeless and kinda reminds me of the 60s and 70s!

I agree with Galaxygrrl, I don't think it's too young for anyone. Go with what you like, not what everyone else likes. I've never been one to fall in with the latest fad, I always went in the opposite direction......and I still do and I'm over 50. I'm the most non conforming un pc person you'd probably ever meet.
I agree. I buy the bags I like. I do not consider age.

Yay! That's great that you love it and get compliments on it. :)
Thanks for responding and enabling!!

Just chiming in to say what others have said here before me! I don't think this bag is too juvenile or too trendy at all. Heavy embellishments do go in and out of fashion, but the light neutral color and floral motif are classic, in my opinion, and I think they will age well. The tea rose designs aren't for me, but I do have a bag with the willow floral embellishment, which is similar. I think it's beautiful and would work for someone of any age. This Rogue strikes me as the same type of elegant but fun style.

Saks does not have a sale now. But they will at some point. You will need to wait it out. They have 25% off once in a while. I don't shop there a lot. Maybe someone else knows how often they do this. I would try Macys since they have the sale now.
Yeah, I know Saks doesn't have a sale now. I keep checking their website, haha. Just didn't know if whenever they have a sale if 1941 items would be included or not. Macy's isn't allowing discounts anymore on that bag so consider yourself lucky! Oh well. Thanks for trying to help!

Thank you for your input! The more opinions, the merrier. :) It helps to reassure me before making such a large purchase.
The bags with willow floral embellishments are beautiful too. While some bags Coach sells seem trendy, the more I look at these florals, the more classic I think they are, but not boring. As you said, elegant but fun!

I bought the 1941 bag during the last Saks sale. They are included. The different is Macys has a Coach store within the Macys store. Saks just carries some bags
