Opinions please! Coach swagger hardware dilemma

Which looks better overall: black with black hardware or black with gold hardware?

I would still pick black on black. It sounds like you love the black with gold. The gold adds bling to your outfit whereas I would add jewelry for bling.

Definitely different looks. I think black on black is more modern, but I get the feeling you've made up your mind. Go with what you love. Your face and posture and confidence when wearing it matters more than what we think about the bags or the outfits.

If your outfits are dark and not black, I would probably go with black with gold to brighten them up. You don't want to look drab or muddy. The pics don't look bad, but IRL could be different. I know immediately when a bag drabs down an outfit. Case in point, chambray borough. With a lot of outfits it looks amazing, but if paired with an outfit of certain dark and muted colors, it drags it down. Just depends. :shrugs:

I still would pick the black on black for a number of reasons: you already have some black with gold bags, black on black is an unusual combo from Coach so it's a chance to own something different, and plain black is more versatile - if you want some shiny gold on your bag, just add some gold purse charm bling. Or you could go with silver if that would suit your outfit better. Or a color - black and white? That's popular here in May for race fans.

As someone else mentioned, the all black has a very business-like briefcase look to it. If you wanted to use it with a more playful outfit, adding a brightly colored fob would give it yet another look.
Now I'm making myself want one!:D

I had the gold hardware on the green swagger wristlet, and I think in the end, that is partly why I never cared for it much (I ended up giving it away to someone). I can deal with the gold hardware occasionally, but it looks better on some bags than others, and for me the gold on the Swagger bags just doesn't look right. But I realize that some people like the gold. In this case I agree with those stating black on black.

Sorry if I missed it...did you decide yet? I still prefer the gold hardware - I usually prefer silver hardware but have decided that gold with black is gorgeous! Good luck!

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the late response as I've been feeling under the weather. From the very beginning I was leaning towards the black on black but wanted all of your opinions because my friends/ family (asked about 20 people in total as everyone pretty much dragged one another in this "color war" we had going on lol) and the majority chose black & gold so I thought maybe they were seeing something I wasn't.

Once I got all your opinions, with the majority voting for black on black on tpf, I knew I had to listen to all of you since we're actually into purses and know our stuff! Lol so with all the being said, I am excited to let you know I went with the black on black! Like many of you pointed out, it's so easy to add any color bag charm etc to it if I wanted to add a pop of color and it wouldn't clash with the purse. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend ☺️

I think you will be pleased with it, it can be so hard when you are torn between two options. ;)

I was sooo excited to finally use the purse yesterday but found some quality control issues so I'll be exchanging for another one. (Please see photos) very minor, but there is a tear in the leather which I believe will rip more over time with use. I circled it if you can see. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1439775190.274560.jpg
