Saffiano is certainly a specific "type" of leather - perfect for structure and durability, not for slouchiness. I just wanted to add to this thread my thoughts on the quality of MK saffiano. When I was considering buying a saffiano bag, I touched and played with MK compared to Coach and Kate Spade, side by side. IMHO, the MK saffiano was the BEST! Felt least plastic-y, most thick, most like quality leather. Got the small Sloan with pyramid studs in white, and am SO happy! I sprayed it a bit with MK leather protectant and have had no problems with color transfer yet
