Hey everyone! My new Jet Set Top Zip Tote in Vanilla Saffiano Leather arrived today! I LOVE it. I'm still hesitant to get rid of my other bag because I do like it but I think I might get tired of the Logo print eventually. Also, it was a minimal price difference to go from coated canvas to actual leather. Thoughts anyone? :D

Both are pretty! Love the clean white look! But I agree on the logo print, I've been back and forth and never got around keeping any logo prints. But I love my saffiano tote, especially with the full zipper, it's really practical on rainy days. I vote for the saffiano.

Thanks everyone...it's so helpful to hear from other ppl who know the brand and options etc....It's funny my husband just doesn't like "plain" bags so he thinks the logo has more going on haha but he does agree that the leather is a more classic look. I'm keeping the saffiano tote! I'm wearing it now and it's so nice.

Very nice! One thing I noticed about this type of leather is that it has very little leather smell to it even when brand new. I remember reading on a forum, i think it was the QVC forums, about a lady that was upset and ready to return her glove leather Coach bag because it didn't have that yummy new leather smell. Idk y it didnt but she was dissapointed. It may seem silly at first, but think of how many people luv that new car smell when buying a car! So it is worth noting that if someone feels that the new leather smell is part of the new purse experience, it mayb best to not get this type of leather.

Other than that, u can't beat it for structure and ease of care. But just like any nice leather bag I would take care when storing and wouldn't put it under a bunch of other purses. I love the textured look it has to it.

Thanks! You are absolutely correct...as a newbie to saffiano, I was initially missing the leather smell but I got over it. It's great for bad weather and I can get away with a light colored bag with this type of leather without as much hassle of getting it dirty.

For some bags designs/style saffiano leather is great for its sturdy structured look. For some, soft leather are great. I own 2 bags with saffiano leather. Yes, they are quite heavy than others but depending on how much u carry in your purse. As for me, i dont carry much when im using my saffiano leather bag. After using and using them, i felt that is softens in the long run.

Me too. In fact, the saffiano is why I got the Hamilton. I liked the idea if a nice structured bag, and I kept avoiding the Hamilton due to the slouchiness that develops over time.

I got a purple saffiano Hamilton a few months ago and love the stiffness. The durability doesn't hurt either. :)

i hope someone replies to me with an opinion as Im so tossed right now and the saffiano clubhouse hasnt replied and i posted twice. However, i bought the new coach city tote in white saffiano last week on coach.com and Im freaking out worried about using it....it is called "chalk" online and it is stark white. one little smudge on bag and i wont want to use it........any thoughts on if the saffiano leather in white for coach will be a pain trying to keep clean? will i be at peace using it?? thanks for opinions! I need it!

Back to the color transfer thing, I have a black saffiano jet set & just purchased a ivory Vernis LV key pouch... Is this a recipe for disaster? Lol ... Also I'm looking to get the neon pink saffiano selma & I just thought about how my car has beige leather interior... Is this also a color transfer recipe for disaster ? TIA for any opinions!

You should post this question in the Coach subforum; they would be better equipped to tell you specifically about the Coach saffiano leather. :smile1:

The vanilla saffiano really looks great on you! I have the logo bag you're modeling, and also the same saffiano, but in navy. I'm trying to decide between the two. Now that I've seen your pics, I'm wondering if I would like the vanilla better than navy. Grrr...these decisions are tough!
