It's a very pretty ring; opals are quite delicate and that lovely setting doesn't protect the stone much, so you will still probably want to be careful when wearing it.

Thank you! It's very pretty. Pictures do not give justice to its beauty. I will be very careful when wearing the ring. Is it ok to wear opal when washing hands?

I remove dress rings when hand washing, but that's just my preference.
Also, in working hours/day I choose not to wear any rings, again, just me, for various reasons.

Solid opals can get wet but if your ring is a doublet or triplet (these have a dark backing to help bring up the colour, or are a sandwich of an opal, a slice of backing and an opal) getting it wet could damage it.
