My CA told me that the straps were changed because there were problems with the canvas straps cracking over time. That is why they changed to leather straps, in hopes of avoiding or minimizing that problem. Not sure they will change it back if that was the reasoning as they would likely have to deal with a lot of unwanted repairs.

Thank you so much for the reply! I had heard that as well, but was still hopeful they might find a way to return to the old straps. I love this bag so much, I think I’ll take the plunge and re-buy it. It’s too beautiful to resist! And I’m sure I’ll adjust to the straps

I got my mm too and it’s so pretty . Little smaller than expected but it’s very good size for me, the strap fit nicely under my arm . I post side by side with deauville small Chanel.

Wanted to thank you for posting this! On a whim, I just ordered the OTG MM in Turtle Dove Empreinte and I have the exact same Chanel Deauville, which is one of my favorite totes. It is the perfect for me and the OTG MM, which I have not seen IRL, appears to be a comparable size (I have seen the GM size and it is way too big for my frame). Your post was very helpful!

Yep! I flew first class up and coach back - it fit under both seats without getting smashed! I love it for traveling.

Do you have any photos of the On The Go gm under a coach airplane seat or in the overhead bin? I am worried about it not fitting on different airlines.

No, I really like the size, I’m using mainly small bags nowadays. All my speedy 30, City Steamer MM , W Tote PM are hibernating I even feel the Crafty Speedy 25 , Capucines PM are too big .

I just received the pink one too and am concerned with the size. It is a beautiful bag, but just seems so small. I am still debating. Have you made your decision on whether to keep it?

unfortunately I sent it back this morning. Small and also I find that the shape is not pretty when the bag is worn crossbody because it is too rectangular and too open at the top. it is perfect to carry in the hand but I don't use it that way. I am very disappointed because the leather and the color are beautiful and that is exactly what I wanted for spring. I’m sade. And you what are you going to do ?

I completely agree with your assessment - the size, shape, handheld v. crossbody. I am sad about it, but I think I will return it too. It is too expensive not to be perfect. I have been on a search for the perfect hot pink bag for YEARS. I guess I will have to keep looking... Appreciate your reply. Is it nice to have someone to pro/con with!
