I got a new reverse GM (seamed edges vs glazed), & I'm ecstatic because... IT'S MADE IN ITALY JUST LIKE MY OLD ONE! The website doesn't even list Italy -- it says, "Made in the USA, France or Spain." This was just a really pleasant surprise because this "feels" like my same old beloved bag got fancy new edges vs an entirely different bag. I was prepared to miss my old one. haha

It was made week 51 of 2019 but still smells brand new.

I didn’t believe it so I put an 8 pound dumb bell on my scale to check it & it was right on... weighed the bag again - 1.8 pounds. Maybe someone else can weigh theirs too. Hope that helps!

I too got a new one. the original one was made in Italy and had the glazing. I wore it total 2x and i walked in to Lv to show them how the front and the back was all warped looking from the glaze. I was so grateful they gave me the new version. Sides folded in. Made in USA but I don't care because I am no longer staring at in my closet freaking out about the indents on the original bag. I understand how happy you are as I am too!!!

Is it the new model with the long black leather strap?

Empreinte OTG owners, a couple quick questions if you please. I am smitten with this bag and was hoping for some updated thoughts, opinions, concerns if any.

How is the leather/structure holding up?
Any deforming of the shape or permanent new creases?
How is the bottom? I know there’s no feet so I wonder how well the bottom of the bag and corners are holding up?

anything else I should know about wear and tear?

I have my eyes on Louboutin Cabata tote. It seems to fit my laptop and I like the look of red interior and bottom. Waiting for corona to end. I ordered something from Macy’s and did not receive it. I am hesitant to order from Nordstrom now.

I rang up CS this morning, asked them to check and they said the GM still had the canvas handles as far as they were aware. I guess the product code hasn’t changed yet, which it would.

Really torn on what to do, love the bag but not with the black handles. I guess I can return if it arrives with them but it’s a bit of a pain. Surely the website would also need to update their photo?

They just might have some stock left, like the PS Backpacks were still coming in the with old zipper even though there was a new model rolling out. I'm sure the website will update with new pics and model code.

I don't know if there's anyway for you to know until you see it. So if you don't like if it comes with Black handles, you can return. If you don't try the one you ordered the more chance that there is definitely only be Black handles as the NM takes over.

My SA has come back and confirmed that both the MM and the GM have the black leather straps now.

I take the point about practicality but I think I would need to see it with the black straps as I’m not 100% and given that I bought a Nerverfull GM in July, its not a bag I need, even though I love it.

I just wish I had known about it before I bought the neverfull and even though it’s not an expensive bag by LV standards, for that price it needs to be right and I’m just not sold on the black straps.

This was only an impulse after an email so I might carry on stalking the speedy b in empreinte marine rouge in the hope it comes back in instead.

Or maybe I’ll keep checking here for the mod shots of the GM with the black straps. :-)
