So this just gives me something else to obsess over. I've contacted my SA/CA to inquire about it. I'm also thinking about the Cannes bag in reverse monogram as well. I need to see them both in person.

@EmmJay - thanks for the laptop and mod pics. This looks great on you!
Any mod pics with short people? I love the way this looks, but I’m worried it will hang too low with the shoulder straps - I’m only 5’2”. I would love this for a work bag

I got mine yesterday, and it's gorgeous, but I realized that the bag really is not eligible for after-sales care -- being all canvas
right?

if I wasn't to use it for work and carry a laptop everyday, once the straps go, there's not even an option to pay for replacing

I love LV, and the after-sales care definitely contributes to my love

the on the go is expensive given if anything happens, it would be to the canvas -- the one thing LV won't help with

any other perspectives on this?

I also received my bag and it’s beautiful [emoji7]
I feel it’s a substantial bag and I’m also thinking if the straps need to be changed they could do it because it’s not the body of the bag which is usually all one piece of canvas but that’s just my thoughts

LV stands behind their products. I’m happy to hear that you’re loving your bag. Have you inquired with LV about replacing the straps?

Most of the issues with the Monogram Métis are with the canvas and LV has replaced many of them. I recall the issues with the Favorite flap creasing and LV replaced many of them. LV has stellar service. I’m confident if there are quality issues with the OTG, LV will replace, refund, or offer store credit.

IMO, worrying about the “what if” takes away the joy of owning anything and causes anxiety, which leads to many people not being able to enjoy their things out of fear of the “what if.” I buy from LV with the confidence of knowing that any issues, outside of normal wear and tear, are always handled to my satisfaction. As with any new bag, it can take several months or more to determine if there are quality issues.

It is a best practice not to overload any handbag, which may compromise the structure, stretch the canvas or leather, or cause excessive tension to the handles. If you’re concerned about carrying a laptop in your bag, which may cause issues with the handles, I would speak with your CA or CS.

Please feel free to share some mod shots.
