My aunt said she found the purple/violet one is the most special one. I think GD is not popular at all outside of Europe or even France.

I managed to put it out of my mind for a few hours since I was busy with dinner and dessert etc.

In France the charlotte bag is very popular! I heard from my boyfriends cousin who lives in paris that you see many women carrying those bags!!!

yes it is very popular and the SA aat darel's store in rome told me that some french women lately came to her shop and said that the darel was no where to be seen in paris!!
i came to knew about this bag through an italian newspaper this summer, it talked about the charlotte as one of the most wanted bags.
i'd love to see the dark purple one with no flowers.:nuts:

I'm having night visions of the Charlotte, the white one in particular. I emailed the Isabella Co. in NY to knw whether they ship international. The answer is no. My elusive search continues....:wacko:

I guess I didn't write properly in the previous message. I mean people don't really know about GD outside of Europe. My aunt was not impressed with it because she's never heard of it and it's priced reasonably. I am so glad I found this bag (although haven't had it in my hands yet), thanks to you all.

Divina, I think they have pushed their production since then, because the bags and colours are widely available in Paris now...go get them =0p

So, it's the actual GD shop you have in Rome? Jealous...I love Rome, lucky you. I prefer Rome much more than Milan. I used to do my best to squeeze in some time to shop there when I just went down for an hour meeting...shame...but how could you resist.

yes in rome there is the gerard darel shop, and there is one even in milan :amuse:
the best place to shop is milan!!!
and the city i prefere is venice.
