Omega absolutely. It's such a classic look. Omega has an amazing history, goes back to the mid 19th century as a company. NASA chose their watch for the Apollo astronauts and it was the first watch on the Moon.

Would you get the quartz or automatic?

I prefer the quartz one coz i like to wear different watches everyday :smile1:

Omega. I have a Link, it looks and feels dated to me now. I suggested the Omage Aqua Terre in the other thread, it's a really nice watch. I was about to buy it when I found my Rolex.

Ah yes, i remember u did suggest the Omega in the other thread. At that time i didnt realise the Longines i was looking at costs around the same price than the omega (the omega is slightly more expensive). But now that i realise i can get the Aqua Terra if i pay a little more, it is a no brainer to me to choose omega over the Longines :p

Aqua Terra. Never liked Tag. If you are looking at quartz, I think the 34mm maybe discontinued. 30mm is a good size. Also, get it with diamond markers, you will never get bored looking at it. If I have extra cash to spend, I would go for the diamond bezel. Love it more than the Rolex Datejust.

Thanks! I remember u mentioned earlier u love the Aqua Terra too. When are u planning to get yours? :smile1:

The one i like is the smaller one, 30mm. They didnt have the 34mm one u want in the store too. I wonder why. Is the 34mm one a newer model?

They don't have the 34mm in my store either. I've tried on the 30mm and I love that but I want to try on the 34mm before I make a final decision. I've seen the 34mm modelled on Purse Forum and it looks super special. The store I visited said that they would order it in for me but that I would have to pay a deposit just for them to do so. I am reluctant to do that because it seems like a tactic to me. The more that they push, the less inclined I am to buy.

I fully intend to get the Aqua Terra but I am going to make absolutely sure that the watch I decide on is the size I definitely want having tried on both side by side.

Yes, the 34mm comes in Automatic only.

Yes, over here i'll have to make a deposit if i want to order it in too. The Longines is worse - they want me to pay the full amount upfront! Basically i have to buy the watch first. Ugh!

The diamond bezel is absolutely stunning! But even if i have the money i dont know if i can bring myself to spend so much on it though :D. I think for now diamond markers will do ;)

It doesn't seem right does it? They did say that I was not obliged to then buy and would get the deposit back ... but still. I may go down to London this summer where they are sure to have all the watches in store. Then I can try the 30mm Aqua Terra, 34mm Aqua Terra, the ladies Planet Ocean in white, and anything else I fancy ... and make an informed, considered judgement on which one I want to spend a considerable amount of money on.
