Oldies but goodies ,2000s designs

I have a few bags from the early 2000's that I've held onto. The larger Willis was one of my first FP purchases, I've considered rehoming it a few times as it only gets pulled out a couple times in the fall. Turns out my mom bought the mini version and crammed it in the back of her closet, I was so excited to find it since my daughter is always trying to get my purses. Now we match!
I used the wayback machine to check the website to see if I could find the color names for both and ended up lost in my early 20's looking at all the bags I had spent hours lusting after. Especially those mix and match duffles.

I really like most of the 2012 legacy line but it seems that the leather for those is not as durable as the vintage and 1941 bags now.

I got a legacy Willis in sand that was authenticated here on TPF which I'm in love with. I wore it to go outlet shopping and the Coach SA ran over and said how pretty it was but not to get a drop of water on it. Fortunately it doesn't rain a lot where I live now.

Before I discovered TPF I also bought a legacy signature Penny (not shown) and brown mini saddle bag from the 2012 line.

I know a lot of people don't like signature but I have found it to be very durable. I have a signature wristlet (not shown) and swingpack from the 2000's and I have done nothing to care for them and they have worn pretty well considering they are 15 years old or so.

I also liked the earlier legacy line (2007?) but I don't have any items yet. But I really liked the rose leather color they used for that collection so that's on my list of bags to keep an eye out for.

I remember seeing photos of the the satin Madison bags with the Swarovski embellishments in the catalog and I was in love but I only remembered there being pastel pink and blue so not the best for dirt. But thanks to TPF I got a black kisslock bag from this line many years later <3

So yes I guess you could say I like some of the earlier 2000's Coach bags :giggle:

Oh and also a big complaint I have about current Coach bags is that the edgecoat is sloppy and does not match. But on my two outlet signature items from early 2000's there is matching and clean edgecoat so much so that I didn't know they had edgecoat until years later.

I remember my first Coach. I was 25, living in Chicago. I took the red line to the store on Michigan Ave and purched this bag, because of coarse I did. Everyone had this bag and the zipper was so hard to get into but I didn’t care!

I then proceeded to buy 2 more signature bags in the mid 2000’s so sadly I missed out on the leather. Ah, youth.

I remember back in the day I was obsessed with the Coach Carly bag...I was in my late teens/early 20s and I always said I would get one..well I never did but I kinda go back and forth about getting one pre loved..I just keep hearing that the top edging frays a ton so I’m hesitant.

Oh my goodness! Yes. The Carly love was real and it was big here on the forum. Yes the top on the Carly had some tearing and fraying but I’m thinking it was because how it puddles together near the zipper on top. But it’s a beautiful bag. I’ve seen second hand Carly’s go now for under 50 dollars. I remember the Carly was so popular that this was the first bag I saw an influx of fakes of. I’m thinking I might also need to buy a Carly now too lol.

I hate to sound like a fool, but what is edgecoat? I'm curious. Thank you!!
