Yeah, I suppose the mid 2000s wasn’t that long ago. I think we just do a lot of growing up and changing in our 20s into our early 30s so it can feel like a life time went by.If you are reminiscing about the mid 2000’s like that, then you are still in your youth!! When I say to my now grown kids, “That new store,” and they say, “Mom, that store is 10 years old!” I say, “Yeah, like I said -the NEW store.” Because 1989 - wasn’t that yesterday? I vividly remember space shuttle Challenger exploding in 85 or so. And Nadia Comenici winning the gold and Nixon on tv (that was about 1973 or 1974).
This is very cool. Love this bag and the lining. So special!Ah hahaha! I knew it had striped lining, but never looked at the back of the hang tag. Learn something new every day! [emoji16][emoji6]View attachment 4328586View attachment 4328587
Thanks! It's pretty, I need to wear her more. This is very cool. Love this bag and the lining. So special!
Haha I got out an old Carly “Sig” today, and exchanged that humongous shoulder strap that was on it, with a plain sturdy strap from an old Marc Jacobs bag. Took it out for a spin and I must admit that I really enjoyed carrying it around. It’s true, there is just something kind of appealing about that Carly.Oh my goodness! Yes. The Carly love was real and it was big here on the forum. Yes the top on the Carly had some tearing and fraying but I’m thinking it was because how it puddles together near the zipper on top. But it’s a beautiful bag. I’ve seen second hand Carly’s go now for under 50 dollars. I remember the Carly was so popular that this was the first bag I saw an influx of fakes of. I’m thinking I might also need to buy a Carly now too lol.
Some lucky buyer grabbed that at Goodwill! My Mom had this one for quite some time with a matching black leather Coach wallet. Still has the wallet. The bag was donated to goodwill some time back.

Go for it. It “tones down” the vibe a bit. I was lucky to find the right strap on an older MJ.I love it. I actually love it with that strap. I’m considering buying one on posh in leather but i remember that strap was heavy and did like to fall off the shoulder. A strap like this would be way better !
that yellow is fabulous.I have one Willis and 3 Legacy duffles. The colors were so beautiful! I used to have more Legacy than this.
No, the leather on the 2012 duffles is pretty bad, but the colors are amazing! I love the slouch when the strap is doubled.I still have the large legacy duffles from 2001-2002. Wonderful, soft leather. Convertible straps Wide straps.Refuse to get rid of them, because they were so well-made. And if traveling, they come in handy. I also store smaller bags inside. When Coach came out with a newer version in 2011-2012, I purchased two, because they had a zipper compartment on the outside. I love to be able to convert to a crossbody, if needed. Frankly, I don't think the leather on the newer models was as good. I still like the bags though.
