Hi guys, I need to vent a little.

Two months I brought my h to a respected reseller store on new york (I won't say what bag so that it won't be misunderstood as trying to sell in the forum). I was hoping it will hit the shelf quickly so that I can get my money back (that was when I got let go right after my maternity leave). But one week then two weeks go by, the bag was not on the shelf. Then I finally got hold of the owner and she said its in h for clean up. So fine, I would prefer to put on the shelf for showing, but at that time it has already gone to h. So that was 2 months ago. Now, i still don't see it on the shelf, so I went to ask the sm if she would have an idea and it turned out that she didnt know where it is, but she said she left messages for the owner to call me back. I emailed her as well to tell her I will even go talk to claude and see if it is anywhere in sight. Now I know it might take up to 6 weeks for it to clean, but does it really take so long?? I am also a little bit annoyed because the bag has been with the store for two months and its still now on the shelf!! Anybody has a similar experince and how long does it takento be cleaned really???

I had one take 4 months, but it was in bad shape. I've had one in so-so shape, definitely needed cleaning, take 12 weeks. I know other people have had very short turn-around times.

I'm sorry for your frustration. :flowers:

I am in NYC! I am just annoyed coz no one tells me anything! If it is at h, fine, give me the receipt and I will go ask claude. If it isn't then where is it? Omg you dont think it will just go away, right? Urg!!!!

Mine is not dirty at all!!! It was just at cleaning 9 months ago! That's why I was so surprised to hear that it was taken to clean. I guess if you want to authenticate it then yes. At least tell me about it beforehand!

my first thought was they have put the bag on hold for their own "vip" and didn't want to admit it - or maybe have sent to their own preferred leather cleaner (however likely, maybe it's true) but i would go to the shop and ask for the bag back. you'll be likely to hear within a day or two that your bag has "sold" or else you'll get it back pronto. it's just unacceptable, sorry you are experiencing this but it happens...

do you have a consignment contract? if so, look at it and see how long they're allowed to have your bag and how much notice you have to give them that you're picking it up. If you've got a contract, I think it'll be pretty clear-cut: They either give you your bag or the money you agreed to take for it.

If you don't get it back soon, at least let us know what store it was so we can all avoid the same problem.

My suspicious mind thinks that someone from the store is having a little run at wearing it until they get tired of it and it goes on the shelf for sale. I would demand to have my bag returned to me ASAP, because you have changed your mind about selling it and say that you will pay for the cost of the spa visit. That may be the only way for you see it again soon.

oh dear! i didn't think of that! very possible.

you must go back to the reseller store and ask to have it returned. it's almost certain you will hear within a day or two it's "been sold" and get your money or else they will produce it with an easy phone call to H if it really did go there. It's not difficult to locate and they can (and have) cleaned a bag in less than three days if needed by special request. best wishes xo

I am seriously hoping it wont come to that! I have called her today and also emailed her but I havent heard back. I will give it one more day, and if I dont hear from her then I really dont know what to do. The sm said they dont have the bag on the premise. Good thing is I took a couple of pix of the bag before I gave it to her!
