i like black bags better, but tend to get brown more. i wear a lot of black and i refuse to carry a khaki bag with it- so i like colors. to me, colors are more neutral...

but certain bags just look better in brown or black. depends on the style.

Firstly, does the bag look better in brown or black? If the answer is either way, I go with which would match my wardrobe more.

First, I go by what color looks better for the particular bag.

Then, I do tend to try to "balence" out my bag collection -- if I already have a medium brown tote, then I'll go for a black one. If I have too many small black bags, I'll look for brown.

Generally, I do love those neutral colors, and own primarily brown and black bags, but have a couple of blue ones too...I should probably start to liven up my collection!

i don't have a brown or black bag.

most of the bags from coach are white.

the rest are in colors, yellow, green, pink and white again.

but like everyone has said, i'd usually go with one that fits my wardrobe and style...i wouldn't mind the carly in black or camel but i'd pick camel over black anyday.

ms. whitney - do you have any of the Legacy bags in white. do you use them in the winter also? I love the shoulder bag and the satchel. which do you prefer?

i have the ali in white. and i do use it in the winter, i think it looks yummy next to my fall colors like chocolate brown trench coat or the navy blue trench.

but between the shoulder bag and satchel. that i can't really help. i love both and it's such a tough decision! but for everyday usage sakes' i'd say shoulder bag. the satchel barely goes up my arm comfortablely with my jacket on, and i tend to lose things easily if left in my hands...

if it's once in a while, i'd say satchel. it's just too gorgeous to pass up if i can throw money away like that!

i wear alot of black, so at first it was all about black bags...

but then i got into the brown signature & leather bags, and now the browns are outnumbering the black bags! and so my wardrobe followed suit

so now that i have the black & brown bags covered, i'm branching out towards white & colored bags. my favorite color is plum/purple, and i'm liking the plum suede Legacy bag - although i'm not that into suede bags.
i wish Coach would make the purple & wine hues as leather rather than always in suede!

Reason I ask was because I might be getting a Carly soon, and I love it in the kahki/saddle sig and the all black sig.

The K/S one fits the best with my closet.

The B/B looks better on me and sorta looks better on the bag.

I like the Carly in khaki/saddle and the stripe tote in black/silver. I am partial to the saddle trim is the reason why. I also like the silvery stripe on the tote better than the brown. Nice bags!
