OMG Lu!!!!! That link is to a store in my town!!! I can drive there in like 20 minutes. I had no flippin idea they sold Paule Marrot stuff!!!!! As for buying it, I say if you love it and can't imagine it going home with someone else AND you can afford it, then buy it. I love art. I just never pay for it because I make my own, lol (iz a horrible arteest).

lulu, if you love it and it's within your budget, definitely get it...

for the size (it's huge!), the price is excellent imo. i was just looking at a photo that's 30x40 that's $2,000 without frame. and that's only for a limited edition print of a photo.

omg. there's a number of PM paintings here... including the lillies. http://naturalcuriosities.com/catalog/56

I would love to purchase from the site you mentioned ^^ but you have to have a trade ID and be an interior designer. :( I have yet to find someone who can help me out with that.

So hotties Guess what!?!?! There is a super awesome hottie who ended up finding it cheaper than the one I posted. YAY! It comes unframed which I really like because I wasn't in love with the frame anyway. I'd rather have my DH build one for me. Something in a dark wood with clean lines. So I'm pretty sure I'm going to go that route because I will save 1,700.00  I so badly want to hug this hottie.:smooch:

I'm getting the print!!!! Yes it is a print not an original. I once went to an auction where an Original piece by PM herself went for over 18,000 Euro wayyyyyyy out of my budget.

BTW: the ones from natural curiosity go for about 800- 1,200 including frame they were sold at anthropologie.com last year. That is for the smaller ones not the "Arliquin" sized ones.

My MIL is an hour and a half away. She was picking up family at the airport and had some time to kill.

YAY! I'm glad a Hottie helped you find it cheaper. I love when we help each other out! :flowers:

So cool your MIL is nearby! I think RMC is the closest Hottie to me but all the other Hotties live much farther away (I think).

The stars aligned my MIL normally goes to the closer airport but it was cheaper to fly into Pensacola. She just so happened to drive by a place with great art and stopped in. How crazy is that.

I knew if I posted the question someone would talk me out of it. It's a lot of money but I had no idea that cheaper version where out there without having to be in the trade. That is awesome!

If I don't suck at math, what you're paying is less than what I would expect to pay for a print that size from an established but not out of the stratosphere artist. I have 24"x36"s that were in the $600-800 range unframed. They are all still unframed because I realized it was going to be $$$ to frame them. I need to borrow your DH. And possibly some wall space :p Anyway, it sounds like you're getting a great deal! Awesome HHHottie hook-up!

MT- When my DH is too busy to build a frame for me. I've used American Frame. They are awesome and super cheap. They send it to you in 4-5 pieces and they are really easy to put together and most of the time you can get the custom matting for like 1.00. I did that for a couple of my blaine fontana prints. I should find that picture and post it.

fab.com has a couple of the Paule Marrot rugs for pretty cheap. ($520 shipped for a 5'x8')

I kind of wish blues went with my decor.

I can't afford it and it doesn't match my house. but I'm thisclose to buying the Harlequin rug. I need to step away from the computer.

This is a crappy ipad shot of my little guermantes collection. The Duvet isn't technically germantes I think it's a print called tulips but it fits within the set.
Duvet- Tulip print
Fabric- Grey Guermantes
HH PM Barrel & rectangle case- Grey floral (grey guermantes)
