Glad to be here posting pics. I really love her style!

And I do believe that is the mayor's wife. She and Mrs. ***** look really lovely too. Mrs. ***** always seems so well put together.


You all have a good eye. I didn't notice the belt was the same, until you just mentioned it.

Also, the shoes she is wearing in those pics with the mayor are the same Jimmy Choo Glaciers that she wore at the Inauguration and at the Kids Inauguration Concert. So we've seen them at least 3 times.

I know I am totally in the minority but I really didn't like her Inauguration Day outfit. I thought it was really overdecorated and the cut looked frumpy. I like her when she is a little more tailored, yet glamorous, like when she wears a well-cut dress and those big pearls. Like this is fabulous to me:

She takes big risks which is fun overall but she has some misses. I also really didn't like that dress with the red front that she wore on nomination day in Chicago...not flattering on her body type IMO.

I LOVED her ball gown. Gorgeous!

Does anyone know who designed the purple dress? I LOVE it on her and would like to try one on myself. Is it Oscar de la Renta?

The purple dress is by Chicago based designer Maria Pinto and the belt is Azzedine Alaia.

Also, the dress that the first lady is wearing with the mayor is Maria Pinto's "Ella Dress" from the Fall 2009 collection and the coat is JCrew.

I'm still trying to figure out Mrs. *****'s scarf.
