I don't see why this thread should be closed. We are commenting on a newly crowned fashion icon who happens to be our new first lady. Back to the ball gown...I just don't think it was the right silhouette for her. Dress was fine and lovely but she seemed a little uncomfortable in it and kept having to move the skirt when she danced because of the train. I also think it added bulk to her where there really is none.

I loved the first lady's gown especially. It translated much better in photos than it did on television. They all looked stunning, the whole family, and Dr. Jill *****'s outfits were lovely too.

Michelle is such a gorgeous and stylish woman. She's so classy and elegant. Can't wait to see more of her outfits, she'll definitely be one of the best dressed First Ladies ever.

What great pictures and I loved both outfits. They looked wonderful and also very much in love with each other. The girls are freaking adorable! Loved their outfits and coats from J Crew.

I LOVED her daytime inaugural outfit. Elegant, bright, optimistic. :smile1: I liked how her ballgown was ethereal and floaty -- very pretty -- but she has a great figure and it would've been better served with something sleeker. It doesn't matter though, she has at least 4 years to astound us with future fashion choices. :smile1: Kudos to her for wearing little-known American designers!

The President looked handsome and elegant as always. And those girls....they are BEYOND cute and their clothing choices are so fun and vibrant. I just want to hug and squeeze those two!
