I didn't watch the show, and I'm kind of glad I didn't -- from what y'all are saying, it seems I might have been blinded by all the glitter!

I kind of like those Harding bags, but I can't help thinking they seem somewhat...basic? And there is the whole "this was done before at the outlet, and it didn't do well there" thing you all have mentioned as well.

HAH! I completely forgot they put it on clearance. Well I guess this explains why they had to remove all the product from outlet stores last Friday. They couldn't have this out once the show walked.

The men's RTW was decent. I've been needed a new jean jacket, and I'm glad to see that Coach will be selling more denim jackets for spring.

Haha, and to boot, the KH Outlet collection came out AFTER the small collection of FP items (I got the black Hudson Tote from the FP). So the chronology of Coach X Keith Haring so far is:

1. Unadvertised 'Mysterious' small FP collection (I got the black Hudson Tote) -- still unadvertised.

2. Full Blow-Out, Mass Production Style, Outlet Bargain Bonanza (w/immediate 50% markdown).

3. Forthcoming FP Runway SS/2018 collection.


Is there something wrong with this picture?? :lol:

I'm pretty sure that the black Hudson tote somehow got marked incorrectly as Retail in their computer system because that style is exclusive to Outlets. Retail has the "Market Tote" and Outlet's version is Hudson.

Overall:
Women's RTW wasn't good, in my opinion. Lots of slip dresses with sparkles (and sometimes even lace on top) which do not exude class - just add a tiara and that's how little girls think princesses dress. Those types of slip dresses (minus the sparkles) were done, and over done, by every designer like a year ago. Also many sequins on top of that, which I guess to each her own, because some people like them a lot. The shearing / fur is something Coach always does well but the designs look like they could be borrowed from any of the previous collections. I did like the cheetah print fur coat which was unique.

I suppose I'm being harsh but I'd describe the show today as tacky. A little sparkle or a few sequins, or some western motifs, or some metallics is fine and is part of Coach's style but all those things combined is just beyond over the top. Just look at this shoe...

The Harding items in the runway show are a very different vibe than the outlet items.

The women's bags are terrific. I can definitely see these being a hit across all ages/audiences. Classic leathergoods. The Mailbox feels very timely, and I'm pretty sure this is one of the few archive styles that Coach hasn't brought back since the 70's.

I am happy to see that Coach is using transgender models. I always appreciate brands with a big platform embracing diversity!

Also hoping for a fun print or two and more kisslocks. Other than that, I just really want more fabulous colors in my favorites: Rogue, Saddle, Dinky. Personally not too turned on by embellishments or anything too funky - but I know that's just me - and I appreciate Stuart's vision in this area even though it's not my jam.

Anyhoo - there's my wish list for tomorrow. Very excited to see what's in store :yahoo:

You have good taste, those are my main bags too! Yes please I would love a saddle 23 size in pebble leather and a back pocket!
