Ok I’ve never really wanted to admit that I’m not really into the tea rose items because so many seem to love them [emoji23] Although I do like the bags a little better with this amount of embellishments. I would LOVE this exact denim rogue without the tea roses. They did denim with my beloved brass hardware! Coach y u dew dis 2 meeeeeee lol It is so close to being perfect.

This is really cute though.
I'm just not sure I'd want to spend the rogue price on denim material so it depends how much it will cost.

Hey everyone,

I'm not sure if I'm posting on the right forum/correct season, but here goes:
I know there's been a little bit of discussion on these two topics before, but:

(1) Has anyone ordered bags with the black copper hardware and used them for a while now? How does the hardware hold up to chipping? I saw some people said the early version of it chipped, but the newer version seems more resilient. It is for sure just a coating over some other metal or is it somehow annodized?

(2) How have the bags with studs/rivets held up over time?

(3) Any general thoughts on the Page crossbody with top handle (not the larger Page 27 shoulder version)? I like smaller bags, so size should be ok for me.

I'm thinking of purchasing this Page bag (with black copper hardware and studs) on the 50% off sale, but I've never owned an embellished or black copper hardware Coach bag before:

Since Coach only repairs bags free within the first year now, I worry if it doesn't hold up over time, they won't be able to repair it a few years from now since they won't have the replacement parts in stock.

Hello! I’ll try to give some insight here.
1. I have a Rogue with black copper hardware and it still looks great. It’s a bag I use a ton, too! I can’t speak to the quality of hardware on the Page.
2. I have another rogue (Whiplash Rivets) that I also use frequently & none of the rivets have fallen off.
3. The page is pretty small, I’d say it’d hold a card case, sunglasses, car keys, and maybe chapstick.
If you’re someone who is particularly tough on your bags, skip the embellishments. I’m not super careful with my bags, but I am mindful of them when I use them and I also store them stuffed and in dustbags. HTH! Good luck deciding!

I have two bags with black copper hardware and I love the colour. That said, my dinky has held up fine so far with some regular use. I also have the embellished mailbox and some of that black copper rubbed off just from the first time I unwrapped it and tried it on. The bag was sold out and I’ve read some horror stories about sending things for repairs so I haven’t brought it up.
The embellishments on my bag also seem quite flimsy and I worry about them snagging and pulling off. It is a special occasion bag only.

For me, I think I wouldn’t buy another black copper or embellished bag without at least seeing it in person to inspect it first, and even then I would really have to be in love with it and be able justify the cost per wear price being so much higher.

I haven’t looked at rivet detail closely, maybe they are fastened better than the crystals are.

I have two Rogues with black copper hardware and sold one with it. On the Rogue I sold, the black copper did not wear very well--lots of worn surfaces on this Rogue. My remaining Rogue with black copper has prairie rivets all across the front, which I love. I haven't had a problem with any of the rivets at all. The brass hardware on my first edition black Rogue has worn the best of all three of my remaining Rogues.

I can't help you with the Page. Good luck!

I have had problems with only two of my bags with the hardware and I daily carry each Coach bag I own for several months before I switch them out. I have one Dinky that has had to be repaired twice (the turnlock) and I've owned it less than a year. The most recent time it came back, whoever repaired it put a HUGE scratch in the leather where the base of the turnlock is. I was really unhappy about that but my local store tried to make it right. The other bag I had in for repair was a mailbox that had issues with the dogleash clips flaking less than a week into my using the bag. I think it was mainly a design flaw with where the kisslock hardware rubs against the dogleash clips. That bag hasn't fared well as it is out for repair and they claim that they cannot fix it because it has specialty hardware on it (the dogleash clips have flowers on them for example) and they have yet to send the bag back. Initially they were just going to keep it and issue me a credit which I found unacceptable so they said they would send it back. It has been about 6 weeks and I still don't have that bag back. I got my Dinky back just this past week and it turned around in 2 weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed that I see my mailbox again. I have also sent in vintage bags that they basically charged me to repair and did pretty much nothing to the bags. TPFers here do a much better job refurbishing vintage bags. So I am not one that has been very impressed with the repair service.

As far as embellished items, as long as you aren't super hard on your bags, it should not be an issue. I don't baby my bags but I do care for them and am conscious of the bags when I carry them and they are embellished. But I haven't had any issues yet. But please note that they don't seem to keep any specialty stuff on hand for repair so if you lose something, you may not be able to get it replaced.

As for the Page, I bought one because I thought it was so pretty. In practice though, the little flap at the top annoyed me so much. The bag can hold at least the same amount of stuff as a normal size Dinky, if not a little more. However, the bag is deeper than it is wide, so it will be harder to get stuff out of it. For comparison, the Dinky is wider than it is deep. KWIM? Anyway, I usually don't mind flap bags (love the Dinky and Saddles) but I simply couldn't stand the tiny flap at the top so back she went. Of course it is all personal preference so the Page might be perfect for you!
