At first I was going to suggest they came from a store because the stores used to have huge collections of hangtags that had fallen off, but I see at least one fake in there. I can't believe it is bid up so high! Someone is probably thinking they can resell them for at least $10 each.I still love a good hang tag! What a back story this must have!

I agree with you on a reseller grabbing this up. Even if a significant number are fake, it still looks like a crazy good variety. I would grab this for a few hundred dollars (yup in my dreams) and spend LOL my retirement finding out what bags the hangtags went with!At first I was going to suggest they came from a store because the stores used to have huge collections of hangtags that had fallen off, but I see at least one fake in there. Whoa! Did you see how much they sold for? Are people crazy?I still love a good hang tag! What a back story this must have!

I just checked. No words! Other than, yes and yes…Whoa! Did you see how much they sold for? Are people crazy?
Nice! It’s funny you post yours because I have one in the flap style in amethyst, which is vibrant, that has been on my mind to pull out and use. I bought it used, with a little wear, which did not improve with conditioning. Still a nice bag. That little bit of sheen makes it a great rainy rain bag. When I use it, I tend to use it for a week or two at time and it is no worse for that.Got this bag pretty impulsively a few months ago and still haven’t worn it. Likely wouldn’t have purchased if I’d slept on it but here we are!
This is the Garcia leather (12704) and it’s so so thin, which helps keep the bag light but throws me off, and soaks up moisture in a way that intimidates me.
Anyone familiar with Garcia leather bags? If you had it, did you enjoy having it? Did it hold up over time?

We all know there are no authenticators at Coach stores so what really happened? I love the part about the sketchy muckety-muck. When did anyone ever believe that Coach had to be made in Vietnam? What is so odd about the creed wording that inspired a "Huh'? If she knew it was real, how much higher would the price be?And this is why NOT to trust Coach for authenticating your items!
The bag is described as "in the manner of Coach," and in the description states that it's "such a good knockoff that it caught the authenticator at the Coach store off-guard."
Evidently she brought it to Coach to verify, according to the description and he "entered the serial number into the database."
I've shown a couple of pictures below but it's the description that is priceless! I'd love to have had a boss who was such a scoundrel! (That she's selling what she thinks is a fake bag for so much money is another story.)
The seller may revise the listing to correct it.

Thank youuu! I had to wash the inner lining as there were stains - as soon as the tiniest drop of water got on the bag, it soaked it up and seemed to spread so quickly! It’s completely dried since and no leftover water marks at all but it made me a bit worried to use it so it’s great to hear it actually is a good carry and you had no issues post-dunk.Nice! I think your bag is clay? My guess is that if it becomes your everyday bag, it will show wear at some point. If you tend to rotate bags I think you will be fine. Hopefully others will chime in.
I would offer the thin leather is a plus in a trade off for weight. I did dunk mine, as it was a thrift purchase to clean and see if the leather improved. I use a light touch with conditioning thin leather. Ooaw.![]()

Well, it gets better. We all know there are no authenticators at Coach stores so what really happened? I love the part about the sketchy muckety-muck. When did anyone ever believe that Coach had to be made in Vietnam? What is so odd about the creed wording that inspired a "Huh'? If she knew it was real, how much higher would the price be?
She ended the listing. Something you said must have gotten through.Well, it gets better.
Many years ago, I learned that it's not always a good idea to notify sellers of "errors" in their listings. (As a seller, I would be grateful if someone saved me from a ding on my account by letting me know a bag is fake. But some sellers know what they're peddling and don't appreciate being called out and being caught.)
And in this case, since fakes are illegal and every item must be authentic, I did let her know that the bag is absolutely authentic and that the Coach employee was wrong. (And the listing is subject to removal with an authenticity disclaimer/admission that it's fake.)
