She said the backorder date is 8/4. So not sure when I would actually receive it.

I haven't ordered yet, I'm only 95% sure on it. There is also a gorgeous patchwork troupe coming out but the handles aren't movable. Im selling my double swaggers because they have the same handles.
I am so disappointed in how the Marleigh 20 showed up today. It is a cute bag but what the heck shipping it crammed in a too small dustbag with the strap all raveled up making dents in the sides? The handles made smile dents on both sides too. The strap is creased all over it. I am so unhappy with this situation. Otherwise it is a cute bag.
That's a shame - I would expect Coach bags to be packaged well (although I have had a few bad experiences in the past). Can you get the dents out or are you returning for a refund/replacement?
I'm returning this one and may call tomorrow to get a replacement. No way will I try to fix a full price bag because of their lack of care in packaging. I am bummed. If I reorder I will make sure to say no gift boxing. Leave all the wrapping on it.
I understand it is disappointing. I agree that it is a nice bag otherwise. Hope you manage to get a perfect condition replacement sorted out soon!
Oh no, it has the dreaded smile marks on it. How awful it was packaged that way, it's a brand new item! It should be wrapped to the nines!
What are the dimensions of the Marleigh, do you know? Or could you put it next to something standard for size reference? I emailed CS about the Kaffe Fassett line, and if anything was coming in Hunter Green. They were elusive on the HG items, but mentioned more Marleighs were coming. I have nothing like that style, but I'd want it to be large enough for me without looking like I'm carrying a child's purse.
The CSA told me they are 7.75"W x 8"H x 5"D. It is a small bag but cute as a crossbody with lots of strap adjustments.
Edit - I don't like the short handles because of where they are attached down lower on the bag. When holding them in your hand, it squishes the bag at the top since it is 5" wide from top to bottom. No way you can put it on the crook of your arm.

Sorry it came that way. I don't like the gift packaging and my SA always specifies to leave in the original packaging but they automatically gift box the 1941 stuff. My Marleigh came the same way but it wasn't messed up. My SA also gave me a larger 1941 dustbag. Are you going to reorder or just return?
