Christina Aguilera, Fiance Matt Rutler "Very Excited" About Pregnancy; New Details on Romantic Proposal
Looks like Christina Aguilera is going to have a "beautiful" 2014 -- with a baby on the way plus a wedding! As Us Weekly exclusively revealed on Thursday, Feb. 20, the Grammy-winning singer, 32, is pregnant with her second child. The happy news comes nearly a week after Aguilera announced her engagement to Matt Rutler, her boyfriend of three years. See more pics of Christina here.
As it turns out, production assistant Rutler had been plotting a proposal before Aguilera discovered the baby news. The pregnancy "wasn't expected, but it also wasn't unwelcome. They are all very excited though! Christina loves being a mom," a source reveals.
The baby-to-be will join big brother Max, Aguilera's 6-year-old with ex-husband Jordan Bratman. "They just want a healthy baby," the source adds.
A second insider reveals that Rutler had been "working on the ring for over a year," and was hatching his proposal plan for several months -- finally popping the question two days before Valentine's Day, on Feb. 12.
"He wanted to do something that had meaning for both of them," the pal continues, explaining that Rutler chose to propose in the backyard of their new home -- which is still under construction -- around 7pm. "It was after sunset when everything is quiet and dark and it's turning into night," the friend reveals. First, he showed Aguilera a newly-planted Cherry Blossom tree (her favorite flower) on the grounds. Then, dressed in a suit, Rutler (who met Aguilera on the set of her 2010 film Burlesque) asked for her hand in marriage in a gazebo, surrounded by candles and hundreds of red roses.
Crying as he proposed, Rutler took his bride-to-be by surprise. "She was completely taken aback. She had no idea that he was going to propose then," the pal says. "She was shocked."
She said yes, and the couple then went to the home where they're currently staying -- where close friends and family surprised her again with an engagement party planned by Rutler. "It was a great night."

The couple announced their engagement on Twitter on Valentine's Day, two days after he popped the question in the backyard of their new home in Los Angeles, which is still under construction.
The friend said: 'He wanted to do something that had meaning for both of them.'
Christina was completely 'shocked' by Matthew's romantic sunset proposal, for which he wore a suit and filled a gazebo with candles and red roses, before taking her to celebrate with friends and family.

I missed the first one so the one I meant is the third pic where she's stepping out of a car. It doesn't look anything like her. Even the hair color looks off. But I might be wrong
Her boobs look super pushed up in the second pic and I never realized how much of an ankle she doesn't have. Maybe they're just swollen a little from being pregnant.
