Ugh, I've said over and over again that women of ANY size can look beautiful and sexy and hot; they just need to dress to flatter the body they have, not the body they wish they had. It's like Christina refuses to actually see herself for what she is right now. I'm not even criticizing her body or weight gain; not everyone is naturally a size 2. But she can't go on pretending that she is still that size and squeeze herself into unflattering sausage casings. Okay, well, I guess she can... I just can't believe someone hasn't encouraged her to adopt a more flattering look.
Christina Aguilera is a denim darling on the cover of Lucky magazines October 2012 issue, on newsstands September 4.
Here is what the 31-year-old The Voice judge had to share with the mag:
On the challenge she faced with her body: Actually, the challenge Ive always had is being too thin, so I love that now I have a booty, and obviously I love showing my cleavage.
On fame at a young age: When youre young, its so easy to get bull-dozed. There were these two ladies who worked at the record label who always wanted to come to fittings and dress me up like a Barbie doll. It was disgusting.
On her new album: If you love Fighter, youre going to love my new album. As a 30-year-old woman, Ive been uncovering my independence, and its been really fun to explore in the new songs.
On looking back to the staggering success of Stripped: I was 21 and fearless. It was a really great turning point for me to be the artist Id always wanted to be.
