^ Thanks for the pictures. I was finally able to see the black version of this at my local NM. Yes, it was shiny...didn't bother me a bit. It was so squishy soft and just the right size. Ranag, are you getting the Empire?

That's what I've been thinking! I am generally not a patent fan, but I think the weaving makes it look less full-on patent.

i am surprised at how SOFT these bags are. the black is rockin' - i can imagine an all black outfit with this black bag.

I love it in the black and it's supposed to be close to the size of a mini cabat.

I haven't seen it irl yet, but was told it's very similar to the nuvalato caiman, which is lighter than my mini cabats.

If I didn't already have my mini Nero cabat, I would be grabbing the black one...I love that style...You think if they were going to keep doing that style they would have honored my SO...ugh!

It is very light-weight. I tried the California version (without the python handles) on at the Bev Hills store. I love how squishy the leather is on this bag.

jburgh - sorry to hear about Albert and the new knee.

I think if I did get this bag, I would get the assenzio. I really think the price point is high for it though ($6,200). I would rather put that money towards another Birkin...lol

Oh, Ranag, that's exactly what I've been thinking, except in my case it will be my first...

I can totally understand Mid-

The majority of my BV bags have only been used once or twice. I have a few BV bags and wallets that have never been used :shame: It just does not make sense for me to buy more bags at this price point that are just going to collect dust...lol If the Pitone Vernicetta ends up at the outlet (the California version without the python seems more probable to me), then perhaps I would acquire one that way
