I noticed that if you make a return they take back the cash*back that you earned from that purchase. I thought I had gotten sneaky and ordered online and then returned at the store - sometimes they don't take the cash*back back and sometimes they do - maybe it depends on the store? I don't know how they would know that I made the return!

I've been an e*bates & Mr. Rebates member for years. Neither one are scams, and I've gotten back a good amount of money from them. I've gotten money from them through PayPal deposit and check form, and I've never had a problem.
I would tell you to sign up for both because a lot of times one can give a higher cash back percentage over the other, for some stores. Also, I utilize evreward . com, so that I can see which reward program offers the best/highest percentage back for the stores I'm shopping at online.
